Jimmy and the CRB...growing older but not up

So Jimmy's almost 60. If I recall correctly, the CRB was formed in 1975, but a couple members were on JB's first ABC album.

Of current CRB members sharing the stage with JB these days, help me build the list from oldest to youngest...as well as when they joined the band (performing on tour vs. recording)...

Ralph McDonald, 62
Doyle Grisham, 60-ish?, CR since 2002 (but recorded on many albums)Jimmy Buffett, 59
Michael Utley, 59, CR since 1973 (recorded w/ JB earlier)
Robert Greenidge, 56, CR since 1983
John Lovell, CR since 1992
Tina Gullickson 51, CR since 1995
Mac McAnally, 49, CR since 1996
Nadira Shakoor, CR since 1995
Peter Mayer, 48, CR since 1989
Roger Guth, 46, CR since 1989
Jim Mayer, 45, CR since 1989

So help me out here...how young are each of these folks, and how long have they been Coral Reefers on stage with Jimmy?

Some others:
Fingers Taylor, 54, CR 1975-2001
Amy Lee, ?, CR 1994-2005?
Jake Shimabukuro, 30, CR guest, 2005-2006

(I'll edit this list as people provide info.)

Didn't Jimmy (or someone) say recently that Doyle Grisham is the only member of the band who played on every album..... (no time to hunt right now, but Doyle played on Pink Sport Coat, so....)

Yep, he's been around since WDWGDAS...but most of those years were studio vs. on stage...I think....

I can't vouch for the accuracy of the statement but if what I was told is true, Tina is older than I am. And has obviously taken better care of herself.

It thought that went for Utley.

really???? :o

per M-ville re Doyle....

It was during this period in the early '70s that he played on his first Jimmy Buffett album, which opened him to the fields of pop music as well as country.

Doesnt say which album...

I remember when Jimmy used to introduce the band...and would introduce Fingers as:

"Mr Greg "Herbal Essence" Taylor"!

I was shocked when I heard that, I thought he was at least Jimmy's age. If he's 54, I could probably pass for 52 or 53.

Are you looking for everyone who has ever been in the CRB or just want ages and joined the group dates from current members?
The Mayers and Robert Guth have been there since at least 94.

They've been in the band longer than that, I'm pretty sure they joined in the late '80s, maybe 1988.

I just read on Doyle's site that while he has recorded with JB since early 70s... he just started touring on the Beach House tour.

The only one whose age I know for sure is Jim Mayer. He was born in September of 1966, which makes him 40.
(And I think brother Peter is four or five years older).
I know Doyle is 60-ish, but don't know exactly.

I also know Amy Lee's exact birthdate, but I'm not giving it out.
I'm not totally stupid.

Nadirahs first album with Jimmy was Banana Wind in '96.

heading a different direction than y'all, but...

i can't help but not notice how Jake Shimabukuro is missing from that original list... or does he not count yet? he started with jimmy in 2006?

I don't think Jake is officially a member of the band. And I'm pretty sure the first time he played with Jimmy and the Reefers was the Hawaii show on April 19, 2005. He also played at a handful of other 2005 shows.

Peter, Jim and Roger started playing with Jimmy on the Off to see the Lizard album so that was 1989. Robert Robot Greenidge started back on One Particular Harbor so that was 1983. Utley started touring with Jimmy in 1973 not 1975. Nadirah's website is gone. I know it had her date of birth there. Tina joined the band in 1995. And Ralph was born in 1944 but I don't recall off the top of my head when he first joined the CRB. Johnny Martini Lovell started playing with the CRB in 1992. I have no idea about Doyle's age but I know he didn't play on all of Jimmy's albums.

Jimmy said this at the Tampa concert in November.
