Actually my 2007 Ticket Plan cost me exactly as much as I paid in 2006 and I get an extra game so it's a better deal.

I'm just glad to see him out of Houston. Now I don't want to see Clemens back. I'm a Reds fan. We already have to deal with St. Louis and it looks more like the Cubs will be trouble too now. I WANT TO SEE THE REDS IN PLAYOFFS! It's been way too long.

or until he starts wanting attention again. Moron should talk with Micheal Jordan about how well coming out of retirement works.

His retirement is starting to look like Cher's 5 year Farewell Concert Tour.

The only time he ever said, "I'm retired" was a ploy to escape from New York. He's never said he was retiring in Houston.

perhaps, but his best days are behind him. He's just a high-priced bear being trotted out in front of the rubes.

His BEST days might be behind them, but his best were as good as nearly anyone has ever seen....I'd still take his 2.30 ERA and 1.041 WHIP and 8 K/9 and killer competitive attitude over 95% of the pitchers out there.

By the way, he's 38-18 since he "retired" from the Yankmees.

which was when? 3 seasons or so? that means he's pitched about 18 games a season (on average), out of 162... not exactly Iron Lou country.

I am not arguing that his stats lifetime are good; I am just tired of hearing about him in the off-season sport of "will he/won' he be back?".

Actually, he's averaged 28 starts per season for the Astros. Lots of no-decisions. A full season for a starting pitcher is 35 starts, he's had 33, 32, and 19 (in a season he didn't sign until the end of May.) He's missed very few starts.

It tottaly doesn't matter now for many reasons but I honestly think that when Clemens "Retired" the first time it wasn't a ploy. He was content on leaving the game but then when his best friend signed to play in his backyard and they were willign to work a deal with Rocket, he chanegd his mind. Now I think he has seen he is still a very effective pitcher and that he didn't want to retire even though he may have thought he did.

and just as likely you just might be slandering them. Maybe with some Revisionist history. If you recall it was the astros pursuing Clemens as he was sitting home in Houston retired the first time. hey if Rocket wants to come back again and it's the Yanks then great. If not then oh well.
