Well that's just silly. Parrotheads don't have 'rules'.Cincy'sOwnDrunk wrote:If you never saw him in the old days....you can't really consider yourself a parrothead.
Have you seen Fingers play a JB concert?

When the Margaritaville Cafe cd came out is when he performed White People Can Dance....he also wrote Big Rig (on the Havana Daydreamin LP). As a few others have noted...I also became a Buffett fan mostly because of Fingers. To hear him wail away on Livingston Saturday Night or Fins is just unreal and the touch he adds to songs like Pirate Looks at 40 and Coast Of Marsailles is downright beautiful. Any one ever seen the early days when it was just the two of them?....that would have been awesome. This year at Cincy was the highlight of the tour, even though he joined on other dates as well, but that reunion was special. I'll have to admit, I've almost boycotted all of his shows since Fingers left, but I still go anyway. I'll also admit, I've never been a big fan of this current group of Coral Reefers.....I enjoy the backup singers and am glad to see Doyle back, but Amy Lee, the dancers, even Mac I could do without. If you listen to You Had To Be There he even says "this is the band that should be playing Jimmy Buffett songs" although I never saw that particular group. I was at Timberwolf (Kings Island) when we got the name. That was my 3rd year and have seen him every year but one since.
