I think the thing about Bush was said, because, as Larry said, people ARE blaming him for everything from Hurricane Kaitrina to their hemmoroihds being out of whack.
Once again, you and Larry are right on.
12vmanRick wrote:psst.. Bush is a human being too.. nobody seems to give a s*** about that when they decided to belittle him.
Right on the money again.
just as an aside: remind me to care about Shrub's feelings when he isn't in office; a) if you don't want about half the country hating you, don't run for Pres.; and b) unless your own group is simon-pure regarding their treatment of the opposition, a President's feelings and a bucket of warm spit have about the same value. I seem to remember that in 1992 and 1993, a seated President's daughter was deemed "fair game" for conservative talk-show blowhards.

look how people here act about politics, do you really think the press will? Besides, most people found it to be ok with talking bad about the president from the press.
The intention origially (or so I meant it) that so many stupid things were blamed on Bush, someone will try to blame him for this. Some idiot will say it was an assasination attempt or something.. wait

I am sure someone will think me insensitive or bash me for this but be aware I don't care. I don't know this guy personally so I really don't care. People get hurt and die every day. When they are someone I know, I care.
I don't care about the political affect it could have because simply, I can see nothing in my lifetime that will change our overpaid, glory for themselves filled politicians that only care about their careers and not the true working class of this nation, no matter what party.

YES!
The Democrats spend our tax dollars like a bunch of drunken sailors and the Republicans spend our tax dollars like a bunch of drunken Democrats.

A-frakkin'-men.
Though I hate to admit that *my* first thought was that he'd come down with a case of the "Russian flu," and that a Geiger counter might do well among the diagnostic equipment in the OR.
But you're absolutely right. The only counter we *have* to those who would immediately try to make political hay out of this - on either side of the aisle - is to remember that we are dealing with human beings, who deserve human compassion.

Thanks, Loren. People from both sides of the aisle should be embarrased. The Republicans are already deciding committe chairmanships, figuring they'd be back in control, while the Democrats are making plans to keep this poor guy on a freaking
respirator if it means keeping control of the Senate.
Hopefully everyone can get their panties out of their collective wads-Johnson's condition has been changed from "critical" to "critical but stable."
Which is encouraging.
I want the Republicans to control the Senate too, but not because of crap like this. If they re-gain control, let it be because Joe Libermann or someone changed party affilitations.
Meantime, keep your fingers crossed for Johnson in hopes he'll pull through this thing.

Bush is human, so friggin what, I am too, I hate going to bed daily worrying about what this idiot is doing to screw up our little world. Reality here, what does a free Iraq really mean to any of us here, not a friggin thing. Our taxes are sky rocketing because this guy, our President, is spending billions to conquer a country that really means very little. The hell with oil, we have other means of fuel, why the hell are we so stuck with a early 20th century form of energy. Isn't it about time we start spending this money on research into alternative fuel resources.

Maybe we should free Cuba, at least that's a place I would like to visit without going thru Canada.
