I thought the story was that both Betty and Veronica were drawn the same, except for the hair colour and style and their clothes. That way it made it even harder for Archie to decide which one he wanted to be with.

If that was true, then they've gone away from that, by the looks of it.

Leave them the way they were!!

PS I just showed Junior and he said "Soon they'll be changing Archie and getting rid of Jughead's hat!!"
