who has a vinyl collection. I have a niece who just got a turntable and has no used record shops so I went to our local one, where I've never been. She specifically asked for 50's rock and motown, and Elvis which I did well with. But then I got sucked in to the endless stacks of my youth.
I walked out with a pristine copy of Pet Sounds which was probably one of the most expensive discs as well as Zeppelin 3 for my one son, also pricey.
I was in a rush or I would have spent much money and rebuilt my whole vinyl collection. I would even have bought Frampton comes Alive and Kiss double live.

Don't collect seriously, but have a lot. My best find has been "Starfleet" by Eddie Van Halen and Brian May.

I still have all of my original vinyl collection.....probably 300 or so albums....I need to get a turntable....I love vinyl. There was something so satisfying about opening up a new album....liner notes, bonus things on the album sleeve.....I miss vinyl....

I miss the album art. Great album art has been lost with the advent of smaller formats.

Ive got quite a few Vinyls myself that I have collected-- Not my parents Elvis, beatles, and Simon and Garfunkle collection either.
Some of the gems are Zeps 1-4
Dylans Nashville Skyline
one that I will NEVER part with EDDIE AND THE CRUSIERS soundtrack
Pink Floyd The Wall
and a bunch other that I do not remember now without digging through my garage.

Had this LP, thought it was Ok but was expecting more.
I've still got a turntable but the only LP's I have that survived water in my basement were, "You Had To Be There" and "Floridays".

There's a very nice used record store close to where I work. I've bought several of Jimmy Buffett's, Beach Boys, and John Prine vinyls from there.
(I didn't have to buy any of the Beatles vinyls because I got them all when they originally came out).
I just bought a dupicalte copy of "Changes In Latitudes" a couple days ago in mint condition for $5.00 to send to somebody.
IF you're looking for a nice turntable/radio/C.D. combo for a great price, check out this web site:

Oh my God, Eddie and the Cruisers. I have the movie on DVD and just watched it. What good cheese with a jersey theme. I"ve been to Tony Mart's two times at the end of its life. I have one of those turntable/cd/fm combos. I want to upgrad to something with a bit better sound or put some external speakers on it.
I haven't played my beach boys disc yet. I haven't played an album in alot of decades and I'm afraid i'll scratch it.
When I was sending my neice her stack of discs I picked up and threw in Madonna - Like a Virgin. Sis was a huge madonna fan in the 80's so just to bust her stones.
