I'M FINISHED...are you???
I've bought it all and wrapped it all. The last gifts came in the mail today. I love Internet shopping!! I got my Mom, who LOVES family history, 2 geneaology shirts. One is a "family Christmas Tree" that's a typical chart with a star at the top and an ornament on each "branch" and one that says "There's a little geneaology in all of us"...how funny huh?
Anyhow, we will decorate the gingerbread house this evening, then drive around to see all the lights. Tomorrow I begin cornbread and biscuits for the dressing. I feel like I'm SO close to having it under control!!!
How close are you???

"Mommy, when is Jimmy Buffett coming to OUR house? We go see him ALL THE TIME??" (Actual quote from my 5 y/o keet)

Did about 80% of my shopping on my lunch hour today. That's one of the good things about where I work. And by shopping in NYC instead of on Long Island, if I buy clothes for anyone I don't have to pay sales tax as long as each item costs less than $110. On LI the sales tax on clothes, combined state and county tax, is 8.625%.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Hence I try to stay away from clothes as gifts unless it's online.LIPH wrote:Did about 80% of my shopping on my lunch hour today. That's one of the good things about where I work. Didn't get anyone clothes this year, all electronics.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
