On a scale of 1 to 10 with "10" being the best, these 2 rate about a -20. If it's a hot and thirsty day though, I'll drink a prestige if nothing else is around (like water). However I can't think of a reason to listen to Barry! :pirate:

So, you're probably partial to 40's  The funny thing about Corona is that I didn't like it originally when I first started going to shows. But everybody was drinking it so when in Rome...Anyway, I hated it even more with the lime but after some 15 odd years of consuming on a regular basis it's become "comfortable". I know what to expect from drinking a 6-pack or more. It has become the de-facto beer in many of my friends fridges as well. One of the first things I think of when I walk into the store now is, "Do I need limes?". My main issue with it has always been the price. If Landshark Lager is under $11 for a 12-pack, I'll definitely give it a shot. It remains to be seen however, what I will throw in the cooler for the show next year. Only time will tell  As for the beer snob issue, well it takes all kinds to make the world go round'. I have a friend who drinks nothing but bitters, and if that works for him, well great. Personally, I'm normally a light lager kind of guy, but I'm currently drinking a can of Steel Reserve, so take that as you will. My main question is, when will Landshark Lager be available up here in Hoosierland so I can do some aggressive sampling :D
...someplace farther south, where the water's warm, the drink's are cold, and I don't know the names of the players...

I will still drink Corona no matter what.

Are there any bar/rst people on the list?

I deal with beer distributors everyday at the bar/rest T.P. Crockmiers where I work.

Anheuser-Busch owns 45% or maybe more of Corona.

So the Bud thing is still connected to Corona...will just have to wait and see what all happens.

As a 15 year corona drinker I would like to weigh in on this discussion.
Up here in the Northeast this summer there was a shortage of Corona. My wife believes it was me and my next door neighbors fault, but that is irrelevant. During this spell we saw corona swell from 11.99 a 12pk to 15.99 a 12pk! Being the proud son of a package store owner I took it upon myself to investigate. I tried probably 25-30 different types of beer/ales/microbrews and still found that I liked corona best but if it wasn't available a Bud sure as heck was good enough. During the summer months if youare partying and having 15-30 in a night after the first 6 or so? What does it matter? Well back to the shortage believe it or not the distributor actually blamed a "music generation" on the disruptance. Saying that a certain chain of resturants and tours are selling considerably less than expected and they had to lay people off in Texas. So production was way down!!! Now it is brewed in Modello Mexico but Mexican's do not drink it and imported by the Gambrinuse company in San Antonio Texas, when the supplier talked of layoffs he only spoke of Texas?
So when the other supplier stopped by we were fortunate to be afforded the knowledge of AB and Shark Lager by a very ,very informed salesman. His name was Adam and according to him it was a cheap ploy to increase profits and revenues for a stock reason to avoid a hostile takeover. Adam also spoke of a immigration and illeagals being a problem? He also stated that if you were a corona drinker you will not be disapointed. Not much is changed in the taste but the after taste and skunkiness will be removed? I am not sure of an unpopular aftertaste but yes they can skunk very easily! Sorry my $ 0.02 was so long winded!

I was informedof a smaller percentage of "ownership" Such as rights and marketing in mexico! As far as being brewed? Wonder if it will be bought as corona and sold as LL?

I really don't care who sponsers the shows. It never effected my purchases and never will. If you like corona, you can still tailgate with it.

Okay, it wasn't at a tailgate, but it was during MOTM and Mike couldn't help but get a kick out of how many people you offered it to, everyone who walked up to us that night got an offering (even an older couple, I mean quite old), I hope they knew what they were getting into!!
