Very nice to meet you Pastor Zip!!!! Thanks for the great recap! My additions to the story:

SGH had called me from the plane as she was taking off for Vegas on Thursday morning. I thought my flight was going to go ok at that point.....until midnight when they finally cancelled it. So, lots of phone calls, a few tears of frustration and lots of mouse clicks later, it was 2am and I also was headed to Vegas....but with lots less time to work with. Made it to the airport at 11am (noon Mtn time), got the car & my luggage & off I went driving for Aspen. Finally made it (through some snow that my cousin in Seattle who was watching the doppler on his computer for me said didn't exists......'what do you mean there's no snow on the doppler???? I'm driving in it!!! ) to Aspen at 10pm....show had started at 9, but SGH had called me for some of it, so I only missed a little.......

Walked into the Belly Up, spotted SGH at the stage (hadn't met the others yet in person, so only recogized her), and made a beeline for her through the tightly packed crowd. Ended up right at Jimmy's feet, and stayed there for the rest of the show.

Great to meet Hippolyte, SoL & his wife, and 81611!! What a group of new phriends to share Pirate Looks at 40 with....I think we got a few smiles from the stage as we were swaying together!!

And Michael, thanks yet again for the ride down to Denver...it was so appreciated! Sorry you had to go out of your way to get us, but it was a great ride down to the flatlands! :D

I made it to my mom's for the holiday too....after a couple of delays. I am thankful that I made it to Aspen and here at all however, as I know many others did not make it to their destinations as they had planned.

All I have left to say is that this is one story I didn't think would play out, but it was that very fact that made it such a great experience in the end.

Big grins all around for a really fun and unforgettable trip. :D :D :D :D

PS. Has it been mentioned lately that BNers ROCK????!!!!???? :D

That was the best concert I have ever been to in my life. I loved hearing "It's My Job". For whatever reason that is the song I that really jumpstarted my love of Buffett and I loved hearing it.

Welcome aboard PastorZip...I really enjoyed reading your recap of the Aspen show.

It was a special evening. There's nothing like seeing JB in a intimate venue like that.

Hope to see you around BN more!
