If'n you need some coastline, Chesapeake country is nice. If you want a slower pace of life, try the Plains states. Need some drama in your scenery? The Rockies run from Montana to New Mexico. (Like sheep? try New Zealand...)
Your BN friends will find you (and care for you) anywhere you go.

What? You mean that AGE DISCRIMINATION is more and more prevelant in the workforce for over 40 victims of fate? I thought it was against the lawToplessRideFL wrote:I love Florida..... and I love Tampa Bay.... but I would move further south on a minute's notice.... but we both have good jobs which after aged 40 are important to hang on to..... I bet you could prove it. If you had Bill Gates kind of money to hire a leagle team to after the big corporations. BUt would taht be in the best intrest of the legal team to take on the corporate lawyers? Name an employment agency (head hunter, no offense Topless, I've worked with and through them too) who's primary source of revenue is getting the corporation "their profile" client to testify that the corporation wants younger and cheaper people?RinglingRingling wrote:but is it proveable...Tequila Revenge wrote:What? The wife and I are looking into the south west coast of florida soon from NJ. We are just looking at packing up one day and moving. But also being an over 40 victim might hold some weight in getting jobs. Fishing guide dosen't sound too bad though. Probably wait until the 13 yr old is outta High School first though.

SW Florida ...Sarasota, Ft Myers, Pt Charlotte and Naples area is know for its beautiful beaches...and low paying jobs! That of course depends on what you do.CrznDnUS1 wrote:The wife and I are looking into the south west coast of florida soon from NJ. We are just looking at packing up one day and moving. 22 years ago, I started listening to Buffett while shoveling snow in Gurnee Il-30 miles north of Chicago-My ongoing question to my self was"would Jimmy do this?'. The answer started becoming clearer and clearer, so I ran away from a bad marriage, job I really didn't like and drove my wordly posessions to Sanibel Island Fl...I was 35 years old and had to start all over-took a job as Maintenance at a beachfront resort--didn't wear socks for 4 years and loved every minute...now after reality kicked in about 12 years ago, and a knockout wife that I would not have met had I'd not moved, we have built an extremely successful retail empire and can now afford to visit places where Jimmy visits...I could never had made this much money"up north"..SW florida is the land of opportunity for anyone with the midwestern work ethics. So many people in Florida are retired that they are begging for services and people to service their lifestyle. I will close by saying we now see Buffett front row and occasionaly cross paths "in the Carribean"...Breath in, Breath out, MOVE ON..If I can do it you can
