I saw Jim at Cheeseburger last Saturday and he said he's working on finishing his second CD but will be playing a few gigs before leaving on the Parrothead cruise. I've also heard that he will be playing a show with Fingers Taylor at Wild Wing in Suwanee on Feb 10th. There is a Feb 10th show on his website (http://www.jimasbell.com/schedule.html) but it doesn't mention Fingers.

Jim's first CD is really solid and he mostly did it by himself. With the addition of two full-time members (and having seen them together live) I am sure this new CD will even be better.

For those that like Jake and the Half Conched Band you'll like Jim Asbel too
