Up in my neck of the woods, we were without power for 7 days during the summer. They tried to ignore us for as long as they could but after a few days, the news vans were here, The Red Cross and now the electric company is under alot of pressure from Gov't officials and lawsuits. Of course relief came at the very end of the ordeal but it was nice to see.

Yep, went visiting a good bit, slept in my business on sleeping bags, cooked in the microwave there and used that refrigerator. Finally borrowed a generator for a few days so we could run fans and sleep in our beds.

Some people on here are just ridiculous. I try to stay out of political discussions and anything that has the potential to aggravate me. I have had issues with a couple of people over something as silly as a joke misinterpreted and a question misunderstood.

I am not someone who is going to let someone bad mouth me though. So, I speak up even if people don't agree with me, whether the mods dont agree, etc. I live by a code and that code is not the BN code of conduct here. If you step on my foot by accident, no problem. If you step on my foot on purpose while looking me in the eye, well it isn't going to be pretty.

There are alot of topics on here that I find silly. I feel that if you want true support from your friends, pick up the phone and talk to them. Don't air your problems/dilemmas/feelings on a board where they can be used in a negative way against you.

If you want to save the dolphins, get your butt off of BN and go save one. If you want to have some phin power for your relatives/friends, call them up and ask them to pay them a visit.
If you want to talk about Buffett, have some laughs, meet some people for a show, socialize, trade shows, buy tickets for a concert..this is the place to do it.

When I need some advice, I'll ask my family and friends that are in my life or pm my friends here. If I post it up, that leaves me wide open for some moron to say something idiotic and light my fuse. I've already been "warned" once....that and two bucks will get me on the subway.


Anyhoo, those are my feelings and after reading the dog thread, it only solidifies my beliefs.


Kudos to the PTP's who were the voice of sanity. Maybe I should have played.
