is it time for a new coffee maker?

is it time for a new coffee maker?
OK I don't drink that much coffee.
like in the winter. maybe one pot a weekend.
BUT. I use the coffee maker for hot water almost every weekend.
the last month or so I have thought that the water isn't too
hot after it cycles. and tonight I made hot buttered rum
and the water almost didn't melt the room temp butter.
is it time?? the coffee maker is ...Uh.. Well I don't remember
how old it is.. over five years..

it helps when you only use half the recommended amount of water...Sidew13 wrote:I've had mine since 97. But got a new one back in November for a house warming gift. it's cheaper to add half the water... you get the same effect, and don't go thru a can of coffee a day.Sidew13 wrote:not if you add enough groundsRinglingRingling wrote:you're diluting good coffee that way...Sidew13 wrote:I always filled my 12 cupper to the brimRinglingRingling wrote:it helps when you only use half the recommended amount of water...Sidew13 wrote:I've had mine since 97. go with a quarter of the water, and more sugar. it'll give you the same effect... ;DSidew13 wrote:But then I need 2 potsRinglingRingling wrote:it's cheaper to add half the water... you get the same effect, and don't go thru a can of coffee a day.Sidew13 wrote:not if you add enough groundsRinglingRingling wrote:you're diluting good coffee that way...Sidew13 wrote:I always filled my 12 cupper to the brimRinglingRingling wrote: it helps when you only use half the recommended amount of water...
