What do you snack on???

Post by thebeachbumm33 »

I'm attempting to create a healthier me this year, I'm having a really difficult time with my midday snack. Normally a bag of chips and a few klondike bars were perfect, today I've gone through the shrimp cocktail, 2 bananas, a bunch of strawberries and some freshly cut pineapple but I'm still hungry:o Any suggestions on healthy but filling snacks???

turkey pepperoni rocks, but has about 4x as much sodium as pig pepperoni.

celery and peanut butter...the peanut better fills you up...or an apple and peanut butter, cheese, almonds...if your are not feeling full it may be that you are taking in too many carbs...try something with protein and fiber....almonds are good....

I would stay away from anything to do with nuts - they will make you gain weight ......

but I did lie ..... I tend to gravitate toward chocolate - which is why I am a failure at losing weight

I'm with Penny. Salty + crunchy = good snackin'
Don't try to get "filled up" with snack food.
It's just a reminder that dinner isn't far off.

actually certain nuts are good for you in a weight loss program....depends on the diet you are on....but they can help you fill fuller and stay satisfied....

people also say the same about avocado, but the diet I am following suggest eating it a few times a week...

What's the point of having a snack if it's something healthy? By definition they should be junk food.

Midday snack? That is more than I eat in a meal. Balance the snack/lunch a little. All that fruit is full of sugars which if you are trying to reduce weight won't help. Veggies/nuts would be my choice of snack if I had one in the afternoon.

Cereal . . . no pre-sweetened brands.

It satisfies the need to crunch.
