Vlad got a soft tissue contusion because of his wrist being hit during the game today in Boston.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Chien Ming Wang is supposed to come back April 24, so that's good news for Yankees fans.

The Yankees Rotation
Wang - hurt
Mussina - hurt
Pettitte - not hurt, but it hurts when Rivera blows a save for him
Pavano
Kei Igawa - not hurt, been a solid #4 guy
Jeff Karstens - hurt
Darrell Rasner - ineffective

So our 1, 2, 4 starters (given a healthy staff) are all hurt, plus the next guy in the wings.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Something rare happened tonight, the Pirates beat St. Louis. They did everything they could to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but won anyway [smilie=happyspin.gif]

Isn't there a new kid who's supposed to be REALLY good? I heard the Yanks don't want to bring him up now until the weather clears up.

Phillip Hughes is supposed to be the future of the rotation, and right now he's in AAA, but they don't want to rush him into the bigs until he is ready. If anything he'll be a September call-up this year.

Ah, ok, from what I read (I forget which internet site, maybe Fox Sports or ESPN) they were considering bringing him up earlier.

Well, it does look like A-Rod has been on fire this month. I think (as a Red Sox fan here speaking) will get the media off his back. Now, if the Yankees make the playoffs, I think the media will get on his case again and ask him if he will break out of the playoff slump.

10 HRs in April, and he's got 10 days to go. I like pickin' on him, but I'd like to see somebody "clean" hit 74.

I find the 26 RBI more amazing than the 10 HR

If he DID go to 74 HR this year, he'd be at 538 for his career AT THE AGE OF 32!!!

Even if Bonds does get to 756, he's just borrowing the record...
