Oh I so hate to watch a game I have a very emotional interest in...and I don't this one....just like to see the Pats win it.

I am not emotionally attached to the Chargers as much as I am to Rivers..I just want him to represent NC State well, which I think he has done...but to win the first playoff game would have been nice....

it's certainly not over yet...70 seconds....anything can happen...
Chuck Fairbanks used to coach the Pats, he came from an extremely excellent record at Oklahoma Univeristy..
and Virgin Parrothead, at the Buffett site down the road, is a huge Pats fan..
looks like they might tie it up, yet again!

I'm sticking with the Bears, even though I'm an AFC gal - I grew up in IL, Elrod is a Bears fan, my Broncos are out, and I can't stand the two AFC teams that are left.

Not to take anything away from Patriots.....but the Chargers practically gave them that game...with a stupid penalty after a 4th down fumble and a fumbled interception that he should of just knocked down it was a 4th down play....i also think they got away from the run in certain situations!!!

Well good luck to "DA BEARS" (sorry..we've been saying that all day!) I really thought San Diego was the team to beat. I hope Elrod has better luck with his team...I really like the Panthers, but good Lord, they didn't even make it to the playoffs this year!HA!

Kinda like they beat themselves? they certainly wouldn't be the first team to do so this year, or any year!

Not the prettiest of victories, but we'll take it! Yes, the Chargers definitely made some mistakes, but mistakes were made on both sides of the ball. When the game was on the line Brady did what needed to be done and in doing so he raised his playoff record to 12-1. That's the most impressive stat of all. Damn those Denver Broncos...
San Diego had one hell of a season. Certainly sucks to lose in the first round. My condolences to Charger fans everywhere. That’s a tough pill to swallow… How soon before Marty Chokenheimer gets the axe? What the heck was he thinkin' challenging that fumble recovery after the Troy Brown strip? Sure would have been nice for SD if they still had that time out on their final drive...

Not that I needed any, but I had some extra incentive to root for the Pats today. I got an internship with the Patriots that begins this Tuesday. I talked to my boss and he said that if the Patriots lost today my job would be some tedious season wrap-up stuff for the off-season. But if they won today we would start preparing for the AFC title game and Super Bowl prep. He said the excitement around preparing for stuff like that is something you can't explain. Needless to say I was on the edge of my seat that whole 2nd half. Next week will be amazing.
