I talked to my boss and he said that if the Patriots lost today my job would be some tedious season wrap-up stuff for the off-season. But if they won today we would start preparing for the AFC title game and Super Bowl prep. He said the excitement around preparing for stuff like that is something you can't explain. Needless to say I was on the edge of my seat that whole 2nd half. Next week will be amazing.
Congrats, and have a great week!!

Let me see if I understand LT, he whines that the Patriots are allegedly mimicking a
steroid caught 4 game suspension cheater Shaun Memirman dance and gets p*** off and complains and cries

after the game.
Umm Ok, LT .......pack up your things, you lost, time for you to go home and cry alone. See you in September, if you want to go to the Super Bowl call Ticketmaster.

I am not bitter, I am happy but I just saw LT whining on ESPN about how the Patriots celebrated. He is the MVP, show some class, you lost to a better, more prepared, better coached team, blame yourself and your team don't cry about some meaningless post game celebration, that is not where the game was won a lost. Look in the mirror LT!

that's NOT the protest he was displaying
He was upset with Reche Caldwell and his trash-talking
A Belichick team wins with class, and LT was reminding a few of how them how it SHOULD be done....

Is the NFL playing out like baseball?
In baseball the last several years, the best team in the NL was the Cardinals, but they never won the WS. This year, worst record in years, barely make the playoffs, but WIN the World Series!
In football, the last several years, the best record has belonged to the Colts. This year, not so much....but....

I would dispute the better, more prepared team tag. On this day the Chargers had this game but made a few costly mistakes and couldn't close the deal. I would say that the Pats got a few big breaks and took advantage of them which is the mark of a good team.

So his idea of reminding them of how "it should be done" is to walk off the field and refuse to shake hands with several Pats, including Tom Brady, who specifically sought him out to congratulate him on a well played game. So that is the lesson he wants to teach? No, the only thing he showed everyone is that he is a sore loser.

I have a question about one play in this game. Last week in the Eagles-Giants game, Jon Runyan of the Eagles decked one of the Giants after the play was over, the officials threw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct then Runyan decked another guy. One of the Giants defensive linemen pushed - not punched, not hit with a forearm - just pushed Runyan. He got called for unsportsmanlike conduct so it was offsetting penalties. In this game when the guy from the Chargers got called for the head butt, the Patriots guy shoved him back. Why wasn't that offsetting penalties like the play in the Eagles-Giants game?

Sorry, but LT and the rest of the Chargers are sounding like whiners. You don't want the visitors celebrating in the middle of your field, then don't give them a reason to: Win the game.

I noticed that, too. I suppose it depends on how the refs see it. My take on this one was the refs saw the Patriot as defending himself vs. retaliating.

My take was the refs saw it as a chance to give the Patriots a break and help them win the game.
just kidding, a little

Since when are LT and the Chargers the almighty source of classiness? They are noted for trash talking more than almost any other team in the league, especially Roid-Brothers Castillo and Merriman. If you going to go on all week about "lights out" (and even have some shave that 'classless' slogan into the heads of their roid-enlarged heards) and publish routes of future Super Bowl routes then simply back it up on the field.
Furthermore, if LT is so concerned about setting a good example 'for the kids' then worry less about Ellis Hobbs' post game dancing antics and worry more about the irreparable harm caused Merriman/Castillo's steroid use, the off-the-field shootings, and the plethora of DUI's amassed over the past season by his own teammates.
I know this topic has been beat to death but it just bothers me when people have to resort to mudslinging like this simply because they couldnt win. Ever since the new Patriots regime arrived in Foxboro, Pioli has made the most important variables among players "character and intelligence." That is the simple formula used to make these Patriots teams. Watching this team over the past 5 years has been amazing not only because of how great they have played the game in order to win but the manner in which they have won. Whereas other teams (i.e. the Chargers and the Bengals) can't seem to stay out of trouble, this team has been a breathe of fresh air and it is just a shame that all that came from their amazing win this weekend is how they are "tainted" and "classless" all because one player couldn't handle defeat.
No team is perfect (Patriots included) and dancing at midfield was not the best way to celebrate that victory. But the ordasity to equate a couple of players' postgame spontaneous celbration to an entire organization ("from top to bottom") being classless just bugs me.

Oh ... that's easy ... the refs hate the Giants.
