Krispy Kreme in the UK

Post by Captain Tony »

Had my 1st taster of Krispy Kreme doughnuts last Saturday at a Franchise in north London, and i must admit they were bloody lovely :P
They were hot and just melted in the mouth.
My question is, what involvement does Jimmy have, is it just the Franchises he has in Florida or is there more?

I don't know enough to answer your questions, but I must say I'm glad you've got your first taste of Krispy Kreme! I grew up on them in South Carolina, and even sold them as a fundraiser for the marching band...

Helped my son sell them last summer... and bought a couple boxes myself! YUMMM! 8)

It's traditional in Hawaii to bring back small gifts for your friends and family when you travel to other islands. Pretty funny to see all the people holding Krispy Kreme boxes as they fly from Maui back to Oahu, the Big Island, etc.

And yes, we stopped there.
Just quality control, mind you, to see if their product was consistant with the mainland's. It was.

Shouldn't the Hawaiians be carrying Malasadas from Leonard's Hawaii??

Whats funny is that in the movie Hoot, the dorky kid with the big goggles who plays a short role as Roy Eberheart's friends is wearing a krispy kreme t shirt.  when i noticed that i thought aha!! i wonder if there are other hidden Buffett clues in the movie.
PHINZ UP!!

And theres this place you can go, called Tiera Del Fuego, down in the southern hemisphere.
Amor, Amor!!

Its theses changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes, nothin remains quite the same.....

Back when it seemed like a big deal JB was only involved in 4 stores in the Miami area? I think that's what it said. There was some thread about it a while ago. Whenever that was. Long time ago.

There's a connection with Krispy Kreme via Mac McAleer and Lulu Buffett

I tried MacDonalds for the first time in 1974 or was it 75, while on holiday in Guam. They were not in the UK at that time. That MacD's became a regular eating place while we was there. Got freebies everyday because they had'nt seen English people there before, made us feel special 8)
