If you missed Jimmy's call into RM the other day, go listen herechippewa wrote:"Go Saints!"
...Jimmy Buffett, per his phone call from Timbuktu to Radio Margaritaville today.
He mentions his love for the Saints a couple times.....and his plan to be at the SuperBowl with them, in Miami.gingerbreadman wrote:Jimmy's Call (6 MB)

Oh, sorry, no one could get the sarcasm about the Miami Dolphins comment I made. This year they stunk but not as bad as last year. They got Sabanized. Now the tide will sink in Alabama.
The Saints have stunk for eons. Now it's time to enjoy them making something of the team once more for the first time in 7 years. Hopefully they'll win today and continue on towards Miami.

Yep...I did a double-take because I couldn't believe they showed it!JustDucky wrote:Did anyone watching the Saints game see the woman with the t-shirt that said f*** Da Eagles on it? I found that to be hilarious that FOX would broadcast that without realising it!
I'm sure Jimmy was happy with the score when he made way out of the desert and back to "civilization" today.
And something tells me a lot of these international shows that he's been planning and talking about might just end up in former French colonies and/or French territories....

Hey ChicagoLand boy - you should be glad the Bears didn't move to Gary. Not only would they have stunk but Gary, Indiana?
Indiana?
The Gary Bears?
That's almost as bad as that stupid saying of calling Atlanta 'Hotlanta'. There's nothing hot about Atlanta except all the fumes from the cars and planes that travel through that city.
Ha ha - your below the belt sarcasm about flooding again and a reeking Superdome are duly noted. I'll make sure to really laugh if Chicago gets shut down for a few months by some major ice storm and people need help. Like the rest of us down here, I'll be wondering...why do people live where there are blizzards and ice storms etc...

An ESPN Sportscenter poll last night on who will win the Super Bowl really burried the Bears...especially given it's such a big metro area...folks apparently aren't too confident in them. The almost 700,000 voters said something like this:
New England 32%
Indy 31%
New Orleans 26%
Chicago 11%

New Orleans 26%
Chicago 11%

Do anyone really think Fox didn't realize what they were showing? That network spends so much time showing the crowd sometimes I think covering the game is secondary to getting good reaction shots.JustDucky wrote:Did anyone watching the Saints game see the woman with the t-shirt that said f*** Da Eagles on it? Sure, but I'd be surprised if the FCC sensors approve...(which will subsequently cost FOX money and a slap or two and perhaps cause a delay on all games like what the Super Bowl now has).LIPH wrote:Do anyone really think Fox didn't realize what they were showing? I drink watching the game is fundamental to getting good reaction shots.
