There is no doubt that Margaritaville tequila SUCKS, but for those who like domestic lagers, Landshark is not bad.

The Margaritaville Flavored Tequilas are fantastic!

As far as the new beer, I look forward to trying it. I have heard that it's going to be very inexpensive, which is a plus. Let's face it...Parrot Heads are cheap, so it makes sense.

It seems refreshing. I don't like to have to chew my beer. Well, sometimes I do.

Hey I'm stuck in Iowa so I do not vision it to be here soon, but one saving grace is that St. Louiy is only 4 1/2 hrs away, and from what I understand that is where AB is brewing it as we speak.

I had been contemplating a tattoo of the Fins logo similar to the one on the cups at M'ville for years. Gotta say, with the release of this- I am SO GLAD I didn't!!!

I really like the bottles/design, but I really don't like very much beer, so a beer logo tattoo would have been bad...

OH...Yuengling. I like that stuff and it's impossible to get in the Boston area. I asked a bartender at a local place called the Sunset Grill who has over 200 bottled beer and 100 on tap they told me that they have a hard time making enough to fill their orders.
I will be in Key West for 2 weeks at the end of the month and I look forward to trying Land Shark as well as getting some Yuengling and Kalik.

Thanks for all the info and comments,I will continue to try and get a hold of this stuff,Im a sucker for anything J.B. I have to say I do like Corona, and usually buy it in light. My normal every day beer is Iron City Light, being Im shipwrecked her in the Burgh. Is Albertsons a beerstore, are they located throughout Florida? As far as the M-VILLE Tequila,I buy it and drink it,but admit that Cabo-Wabo is delightful..but a bit pricey for my shot glass.

Is this going to marketed at the NASCAR demographic?
Nah, I'm sure that's parent company legal stuff...re. his Budweiser sponsorship.

Thanks for the pics, Z. I do like the new fin coasters...fun and distinctive...but why are the fins going the other way on the coasters??? :o

And if they're serving it with a lime at the M'ville Cafes they really are going straight after Corona. Assuming it's possible, my guess is Corona never thought or tried to trademark that combo here in the US even though it's clearly been part of their brand and now Buffett and A-B are going straight for their gut with that approach. Given that my guess is JB didn't get many birthday/Christmas cards from his now former buddies at Corona.

A four-color logo on the bottles is interesting and a bit more pricey packaging. I'm not so sure how the tropical colors work on a clear lager beer bottle, though.

It'll be interesting to see what this does to Corona sales at the M'villes.... Any insights? E.g. when someone tries a Landshark how often do they typically order another Landshark vs. switching to another beer (or drink)?

I work for Publix and can check to see if I can find out when it's going to be carried in FL.

I also prefer Lone Palm when we visit Margaritaville Orlando.

I dropped Corona years ago and switched to Red Stripe for Buffett shows.

I don't remember Tecate aggressively doing that in the US...but in Mexico a lime was part of their jingle when I lived there. It was like the Bud song of Mexico and it's still etched in my brain..."Tecate se lleva bien con su sal y su limon." (Tecate tastes great with your salt and lime).

In the US today my guess is if you asked consumers "which beer do you picture (associate) with a lime?" The vast majority would say "Corona." Of course there could be regionally targeted marketing that I'm not familiar with, but from what I've seen Corona would be a slam dunk...enough to get a trademark (especially sticking out of a clear beer bottle), if allowable.

but they did sponsor Tom Petty one year..
and you are right about the clear bottle thing..

Tecate markets this in Dallas especially in the hispanic areas of town.

I can't imagine how someone could trademark the lime, even sodas use it.
It's a garnish.

oh hell no... there is no way I am going to be drinking a marginal beer directed at (with no insult intended toward members of BN) fans of a sport for inbreds who can't make a right-hand turn.
