I guess I don't see what all the hoopla is about.....

Try it if you want.... Don't bother if you don't want to.....

Drink it if you like it..... Don't bother if you don't.....

Why is it SO important to 'dis it if you don't like it.....??? (There's a huge difference between "I don't care for Product X" and "Product X sucks"....)

Someone out there likes Bud, or it wouldn't sell.... Someone out there likes Corona, or it wouldn't sell.... Someone out there likes Guinness...... etc.....

Live and let live, and viva la difference! :D :D

(I guess unlike a lot of folks, I don't drink or eat something just because it's a M'Ville product or a sponsor of the tour.... Or 'dis something just because it's a JB/M'Ville product.... I decide whether or not *I* like it..... For the record, I like Corona, I'll try LSL, I like M'Ville Key Lime Shrimp.... But I don't care for M'Ville tequila or M'Ville Coconut Shrimp, so I don't buy 'em....)
Carry on as you know they would want you to do. ~~JB, dedication to Tim Russert

Exactly!

However.... I may be more apt to try something that JB is affiliated with only because I am curious. 8)

Since I am not a beer drinker per se.... I may be the perfect person to test this beer out! I wont get caught up in the technical talk... I will either like it or I wont!

I'd try it, but strongly suspect it's too dark and heavy for my liking....

Bass... Yuengling.... Half and Half.... about my speed.... Guinness once or twice a year.... because I'm Irish, and it's a rule, or something..... 8)

4 pages of posts about a beer that 99% of us can't get yet

Whether or not you like Jimmy's beer, tequila, shrimp, chicken, cafes, etc., you gotta admit he knows how to market them. :D

or are we just that easy?

I couldnt agree more... I try things, if I dont like them I dont buy them. I like and drink Corona. I will try LSL when given the chance. My wife uses M-ville Tequila in her margaritas, taste fine to me. Would i want to sip it on the rocks like high end tequila, NO. I like to load a Corona with M-ville Key Lime tequila from time to time... my beer of choice while at M-ville Orlando was the Lone Palm Ale. BUT, rum is my choice beverage!!

Everybody's taste is different... thats what makes the world interesting.

your neighbourhood, that may be called a Half-and-Half. Others, it is a Black-and-Tan, albeit a poorly-made one. Guinness and a Peterson full of good tobacco; a fire, and good friends.. a great way to spend an evening.

Black and Tan is Bass and Guinness 'round these parts. :)

Gotta be in the mood for Guinness... every now and then..... (But do you drink it cold, or room temp? 8) )

And if they're serving it with a lime at the M'ville Cafes they really are going straight after Corona. Assuming it's possible, my guess is Corona never thought or tried to trademark that combo here in the US

not sure how long Corona has been in the US.
But Tecate did the salt/lime thing too.. and I think before Corona..
I don't remember Tecate aggressively doing that in the US...but in Mexico a lime was part of their jingle when I lived there. It was like the Bud song of Mexico and it's still etched in my brain..."Tecate se lleva bien con su sal y su limon." (Tecate tastes great with your salt and lime).

In the US today my guess is if you asked consumers "which beer do you picture (associate) with a lime?" The vast majority would say "Corona." Of course there could be regionally targeted marketing that I'm not familiar with, but from what I've seen Corona would be a slam dunk...enough to get a trademark (especially sticking out of a clear beer bottle), if allowable.
Tecate markets this in Dallas especially in the hispanic areas of town.

I can't imagine how someone could trademark the lime, even sodas use it.
It's a garnish.
Off road there would be regionally targeted marketing aimed primarily at armored bars and alarming troop levels that I'm familiar with, but from what I've seen behind my taxidermic smile death would be a slam drunk...enough to get a trademark on my liver and a hit on the silver spleen.

...the meat markets in Dallas especially in the his or her pancreas areas of town. I can imagine how someone could trademark this slice of wisdom, event sold as is. It's garish. :pirate:

...and yes, he does chicken right. It was excellent from the M'Ville trailers in the lot this summer, but all I can buy locally is the shrimp.

most of mine are drunk at room temperature out of the bottle. Tho, in a bar, the draft is cold. In the lot.. iced or not.. it's a good beer. and for the record Modelo and Shiner taste good at room temp too. :)
