I'm with you, PHriend. $100+ for tickets? To hear the same PHfreakin songs over and over again? Last year at a $120 was the last time. At that price you would think he's play something interesting, I mean, he's got some great songs, he just never plays them.
So I'm going to save my hundred bucks and put it in the my kid's college PHund. I will be in the parking lot however, because it is PHun, just not PHucking worth it to hear the same songs over and over again.
Can't wait to see what kind of PHrenzy this sends these PHolks into.
Great news everyone! One less mouse-clicker when tickets go on sale! Or is that mouse-phlicker?
supply and DEMAND - most of us actually understand how that works.

You stopped posting around here years ago? Hmmmmm . . . perhaps you should practice what you type. Sad, really, that you would take the time to be so harsh. Put the money in your kids college account and while your at it stop being so negative and spend some time with them. What a weirdo.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .
While I don't agree with most of Pablo's points, he does raise some interesting ones. And it is fact that artists make the majority of their profits touring. I'd love to see nosebleed/grass seats more affordable, even if that means an increase in the 'orchestra' seats. While $85 for a grass seat will turn alot of people away, $250 instead of $220 won't turn away someone buying a close seat. But I guess the shows will sell out regardless so why would he bother with the change. More variety / older stuff would be nice to hear also. I have fun with the SYKBH standards but the people there to hear only those songs are usually so drunk they miss them anyways.
I'm 26 also, and I've seen Bubba 21 times in my life, hoping to get to 30 by the time he hangs it up. I'll keep paying to see it because I love the party and I love his music. But it would be nice to see some tweaking here and there in the system.

Cheap seats for the 2 Florida shows last week were $26 and $39. How much more affordable should they be? Lawn tickets were the same price last year as they were the year before, I think the price was $36. The price of reserved seats has gone up, and I don't mind paying, but I don't think they should go up even more to subsidize the cheap seats.
$26 and $39 is lower than I was even talking about in terms of ticket prices...It seems the prices can vary by alot from venue to venue...at $26 or even $39 I can't see anyone complaining, as thats right in line with most artist's cheap seats.....Not the $60-$80 I'm used to seeing

Good Lord with all the "PH"s in there it was like reading something from a Parrothead suicidal Sylvester the Cat. PHUFFERING PHUCATASH!!!
And all the talk of brainwashed followers? Lighten up man, most of us have enough crap with real life, why make our escapes full of drama??
Not a Phreinzied Pholk, just someone who thinks you are a jackass.
M.K. "You should never use any of the 13 bad words!"
S.T. "I thought there were only 7 bad words?"
M.K. "Not if you're a sailor."
Good point...As many headaches as the rest of us have on a day to day basis, why lessen the one thing that unites everyone with huge smiles on their faces
speaking of smiles when are these friggin tour dates comin out!!!!!!

Higher demand, and more old folks that can afford $200+ for a ticket to see JB.
That reason right there should keep the party going. While JB probably does not need anymore money the opportunity for a big pay day continues to present itself. Hard to turn down - That opportunity may not be around forever. So why shouldn't he make the $ while he is still healthy and having fun. Old rockers never retire.

Compared with what we drop for a week at the beach or Disney ($252 for an afternoon at Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique) ... $275 for 2 tix + hotel and eats is not bad for Mom & Dad's weekend.
If I don't wanna spend my $$ on Bubba this year, I won't (yeah, that'll happen).
But seriously, my dilemmas are:
1) Do I risk taking the 'keets when they're too young to avoid them waiting too long and them missing out on a live show?
2)Where to go. Can't take that CRAPPY Hi-Fi Buys, Lakewood, whatever it is anymore!!! And, yes, I've lived in Atlanta, so I can say that. I think we're headed the other way up 85 and going to Charlotte ... assuming ATL and Charlotte are on the tour this year.
RE: this being a year of a lot of shows or not ... August 27 will be Mr. & Mrs. Buffett's 30th anniversary, so I hope he's not touring for a week or two in front of and behind that date. After 30 years of sharing, Mrs. Jane deserves him all to herself for a good weather month.
I think you should definitely take your kids to the concert. I am a kid myself (23) and I have been going to Buffett concerts since I could afford a ticket myself, around freshmen year of high school. My parents screwed me out of going 2 years by giving my ticket away. My dad was concerned Jimmy might stop touring back then. Bring your kids to the show, but bring them for the family/friend affair, the food, the costumes, and the music. My first concert I enjoyed the experience and the music more than the drinking party of it, only because I was raised on Buffett. Phins up!
Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.
