I don't think of it as paying $126 to go see Jimmy, I am paying $126 to have an entire day of being a part of the event. Pack a bottle of rum and some subs in a cooler and walk around all day meeting people. By show time, I'm drinking water anyway, not wasting time in lines buying $10 beers. If I want to drink inside, I can put takillya or Parrot Bay in my fruity lei ;)

No for that cost I could do a lot more. Watching drunken college kids make fools of them selves---- sorry I will talk to my little cousins tell them get me tickets for Big Ten football and I can witness that for less than half that price.... and be a god to some 19 year old college honey cause I am over 21 years of age.
enjoy this while you can... once you turn 26, you become invisible to 19 year olds.. :D
Uh dude--- I turn like 30 in 2 weeks. I can still get the 19 year olds if I wanna deal with all the crap.

Nice...

Pepsi Center? Eh, ok.

Otherwise, it's just another year.

Been doing that on and off for the last 5 years. Fill it up with rum and buy a coke when you get inside. It's especially good at places like Jones Beach where they don't sell alcohol inside the venue because it's a state park.

sing it sister........

I am in agreement (except with the water part) with this statement. I have been a PH for years and 2006 was my first concert. I am stating a fact......as a Canadian I paid $100 to be on the lawn and it was worth every penny of it TOO ME. I think that is where it is all at. The value to the individual is all that matters. Age and financial status is irrelevant. If you are willing to pay it, do so and enjoy.......if not, we should not judge anyone else for what they do.
All I ask is that Jimmy gives me the opportunity to do it again this year.

the venue buys the band and all included for the set amount. Jimmy (or whoever) then has to cover all the operating expenses on the bands end out of that money.

I saw DMB there in 1999 and in 2005. What a great venue.
