I dont know if this has been said but I'll say it anyway. How about seeing someone who is not so big yet and only paying like $35 a seat. That's more like it to me. And it is stll a fun night out. Go see someone at a college who is not "Making Music for Money".

Ummm so are you saying that 2002 Nashville was not the first time I met you in person??  I really don't remember the details of the first time! I didn't do Nissan in 2001 ... the only time I've been there was 2004.

I don't think of it as paying $126 to go see Jimmy, I am paying $126 to have an entire day of being a part of the event. Pack a bottle of rum and some subs in a cooler and walk around all day meeting people. By show time, I'm drinking water anyway, not wasting time in lines buying $10 beers. If I want to drink inside, I can put takillya or Parrot Bay in my fruity lei ;)

No for that cost I could do a lot more. Watching drunken college kids make fools of them selves---- sorry I will talk to my little cousins tell them get me tickets for Big Ten football and I can witness that for less than half that price.... and be a god to some 19 year old college honey cause I am over 21 years of age.
enjoy this while you can... once you turn 26, you become invisible to 19 year olds.. :D
Some of us don't. 8)

No, my first concert bringing a fruity lei inside with me was Nissan in 2001. I'm pretty sure the Nashville show was the first time I met you.

case in point, I just got tickets in the lodge front row center for Buddy Guy. By no way a new artist but four tickets cost me as much as one buffett ticket. And better yet the venue holds around 2000. $35 vs $125, hmmm let me think!

Ah, for the good old days. When I paid $5 to see Jethro Tull, Three Dog
Night, Frank Zappa......and thought Chicago was a rip-off because they
charged $7.

You only live once and like everything else tickets don't cost what they used to, sign of the times I guess. Living in the Pacific Northwest where Jimmy doesn't come all that much it's worth every penny when he does. So might as well enjoy it before it all comes to an end.

When Buffett does retire I hope he does it in the same fashion as Johnny Carson and actually makes good on his word. I don't think he'll retire nearly as soon as people think he is. There's lots of musicians out there much older than Buffett still touring and recording very actively so I believe his actual retirement is much farther in the future.
