Firefox
Just wondering what is everyone's thoughts about Firefox as a web browser?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

You too about IE 7 huh? Somehow that screwed up the java on my computer and now I can't go to some sites because of it.SMLCHNG wrote:E just put it on my desktop - cause IE7 updates screwed up my computer somehow. I fought it at first - cause I'm a creature of habit. Because of wearing bifocals the open window tabs up top, rather than below I'm not fond of, but otherwise it's ok.

Yes, I live and die by Firefox. I have to keep IE, because some websites (e.g. my travel group's site) doesn't work on Firefox. However, pages that don't work with Firefox are getting few and far between.
Not to mention, you can pretty much set up the browser how ever you want it. Try to accomplish that with ANY Microsoft product.

I love it and use it almost exclusively at home. I can't use it at work because it's not the "Approved Browser." I love being able to use the tabs instead of constantly opening new windows. I guess the tabbed feature is in IE7, but I don't know for sure.
My one complaint, is that whatever version of Firefox I have installed at home (I have no idea if it's the newest one or not 'cause hubby just reimaged our computer) that it doesn't seem to support .pdf documents which is a huge-downer.

For those that either don't want/can't install IE7 or Firefox and would like to have tabbed browsing try Maxthon (http://maxthon.com/. It is basically a skin on top of IE6+ that adds functionality that IE should of had to begin with.
As for those that say they need IE to open specific pages have you tried the IE Tab plugin?https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

I was betting that was it. I'll have to update it this week.ph4ever wrote:mine does - I've got the most recent version.buffettbride wrote:I love it and use it almost exclusively at home. I use it at home almost exclusively, except for a couple of sites with Javascript that it doesn't handle correctly. I use Safari for those.
I'm using IE6 at the office, but occasionally contemplate switching.
What s*cks is that video on some major news sites, including CNN.com and (not surprisingly) MSNBC.com, doesn't work in Firefox on my Mac. (*grumble*)
