He's more than just hairy. He's a pretty decent singer/songwriter too. I could do without the hairy part myself.

the song or the album?

I really like the album.... Meanwhile and Home Again are right up there with Semi-True Stories

I think if a well-known country artist covered The Far Side of Heaven (George Strait? Tim McGraw?) it'd be a major hit....

I like the hair and the songwriting. And the black turtlenecks. And when you catch him smilin'.

Oh dear. :o

It still amazes me how artists as talented and accomplished as Mac are overlooked by most of the population at large, but the Justin Timberlakes, Kelly Clarksons, and a host of mediocre country performers are superstars. Goes to show that there's not much accounting for taste.

Speaking of overlooked artists, Butch Walker is the Mac of rock music. He's been in several bands (Floyd's Funk Revival, Southgang, and, most famously, the Marvelous 3) with great music, not to mention his brilliant solo stuff. If you like Mac's kind of songwriting and rock music, give Butch a shot. It's real, visceral, but sweet and meaningful at the same time.
These moments we're left with, may we always remember, these moments are shared by few...

I think it's wonderful how accessible Mac always is when you run into him somewhere. He is humble and friendly and seems to really appreciate his own good fortune at being where he is.

If you have never caught his solo show, you should make it a point to. The (semi-true?) stories he tells about each song make for an absolutely delightful evening.

Yes, Mac is great; his show is great; his hair is great; and he's friendly, too.

Other than Roger and Peter's manager, are there any members of the CRB that aren't friendly?

But I do love Mac.
