2007 Vegas

Post by scraighc »

My wife and I are going to Vegas the weekend of March 22nd. We have always been to every concert near us and been fan for decades. Is there any rumors of JB being in Vegas during this time. This would be an ultimate anniversary present for us to see him in Vegas.

Uh, nope. He's playing in Anguilla, B.W.I. on the 24th. I do believe he likes to stay in the tropical locales this time of year, especially with his new boat....
You could always switch the anniversary trip to down there!

Jimmy plays in Vegas at the end of October. There hasn't been a shift in dates since he's started playing there.

Jimmy played Vegas in April in 2005, I remember because the date of the show was my sister's birthday. He also did 2 shows in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend in, I think, 2003. And if you go back a few years he played Vegas April 15, 2000, my birthday. The second Vegas show iin 2000 was in September.

We go to all the Fall Vegas shows (and have been to a couple in the Spring as well). I think from looking at Hippolyte's Vegas printout... Jimmy's about due for another Spring Vegas date!!! Ahhh, Vegas in Springtime...woooohooo :wench: :pirate: :D

I submitted a theory for discussion in another topic:

http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55239

"Jimmy played Vegas in Spring 2005 after coming off a Fall 2004 show. Has anyone heard if this will be happening again this year?"

Wishful thinking?

I do not like the fact that he has split weekends (sat. and then the next sat.) makes it impossible for me and the wife (married at the 4/9 show) to make it to both. Yet that memorial day weekend show of back to backs destroyed my liver. I prefer spring and then another fall show.
But, I am just someone who spends way to much money on the man anyways, my opinion means nuts...

The memorial day weekend shows were my first Buffett shows and I ended up in a wheelchair for the 2nd one!

The memorial weekend shows were great but nothing beats the 3 or 4 in a week road trip shows the last couple of years! Last year was Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, San Diego, and back to Las Vegas. The year before was Las Vegas, Portland, And Las Vegas. 2004 was Las Vegas, San Diego and back to Las Vegas.....Nothing like a good road trip!!!!! :D :D :o

I would love that, but responsibilities (wife, job, 2 kids, 2 dogs, mortgage etc).... are infringing on my Buffett rights.

We dump the kids and the dog onto the grandparents (Unless he comes to the neighborhood in which case they insist that they get to go too....). As for the job....well ya'll just ainn't gonna wanta be around me if I don't get to go...so it's in yer best damn interest that I DO go!!!!

Mortgages on the other hand, I have no good ideas for ya.....

Oh yeah...wife??? Bring her along...Hmmm or is it that she brings me along....I never seem to get that right.... :D

25 years ago when I started my own business and I was working 90 hrs. a week I remember asking myself "what the hell am I thinking!!" Why can't I just have a normal life like everyone else??!! Well it seems things have worked out for the best in at least one respect... when Buffett's playing anywhere close I let the front office know I'm seriously GONE for that week ...and more! Thank your Mr. Buffett for the simple joys! :D :D :D
