Last Hurrah in Orlando

Hey folks. My name is Dave and I'm from Upstate NY. I'm new to the boards but have been a parrothead as long as I can remember in my short 21 years. Anywho, I'll be leaving for the Navy soon and seeing that this was my last opportunity to get to a show before I left, I took it. I'll be flying into Orlando wednesday nite and staying at the Days Inn Maingate per reccomendation from a member on the boards here. So the real point of my post... I'll be flying solo and I was hoping to meet up with a couple folks from here on the board. I've never been to a buffett concert before and I'm not familiar with orlando so if anyone was willing to take me under their wing I would be much obliged! If anyone is staying at the hotel and has extra space in a vehicle to get over to the show or even if going from MCO to the hotel around 11 wed night I'd be more than willing to toss some money for gas (or share a few shots of captains) for someone to tag along with! I'm a little nervous about the trip but can't wait to get down there and meet anyone and everyone. Thanks in advance.

YOU WILL DEFINITLY NOT REGRET THIS EXPERIENCE.
YOU WILL MEET THE BEST PEOPLE YOU CAN IMAGINE IN ORLANDO. I MET A LOT OF THEM IN THE ATL. LAST YEAR AND THEY ARE WONDERFUL THEY WILL BE VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMODATING. JUST CHECK OUT THE OTHER THREADS AND THOSE WILL HELP!!!

best thing to do is get the phone list, it will save your life (based on the experience from the last Orlando concert).

Also, don't venture too far from the O-rena.. the further from it you get to the west, the less chance there is that you are going to have a good time. (Tho the Orange Blossom Trail has its own version of nightlife...

)

take the mears shuttle from the airport. Its like $17.00 .

Once you are there head over to Margaritaville or look for the party at the hotel, depending on the time.

Thanks for that tip! I was wondering how I was gunna get to the hotel. I heard a taxi was around 40 bucks and I was hoping to get there a little cheaper than that. How far is margaritaville from the hotel?

I have friends in upstate NY....Ilion...Cooperstown...Canandaguia...etc...

Spent a couple of Summers all around upstate...
