Jimmy's name is misspelled, the poster is yellowed smells old and has marks down one side like it was in a frame at one time. I was wondering if it was real and possibly the printer just misspelled his name. It seems to have too many things going on it for someone to make a fake and sell it for only $5.00.
Any one have an opinion on this??
Jim
I have ticket stubs from a concert I went to with the name spelled wrong....I think it's quite likely that the printer spelled the name wrong....cool poster.

thanks LaserGod65, I just bought two Jimmy related items on ebay because of this post. The two things I love best, Jimmy and spending money, combined into one transaction.....of course spending money helps if I have it to spend. Oh well, I didn't spend too much.
These are cool posters, but the seller misrepresents them at best. They are reprints of vintage poster designs. The seller has several names (dogstar6000, dogstar7000 among them). It's a very lucrative busines I'm sure but I'd take that *claim* they put on every eBay listing with a grain of salt. The seller has several versions of "vintage" Jimmy Buffett (and Buffet and Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles and any other artist you can think of) posters for sale at any given time, and an unlimited supply of them at that. I bought two posters several years ago and further "aged" them myself for display in my basement. Like I said they are cool but they aren't vintage and they aren't 3 decades old.
** "ALL MY MUSIC POSTERS WERE PURCHASED AT AN AUCTION IN ONE GIANT STACK ALL CAME FROM ONE MAN'S COLLECTION. SOME HAVE TAPE DOWN THE MIDDLE, SOME HAVE SMALL PIN HOLES (from were they were hung), SOME ARE WRINKLED, SOME LOOK VERY OLD AND SOME LOOK FARLEY MODERN AND NEW. MANY OF THESE ITEMS WERE KEPT IN LARGE BAGS WITH BACKING AS IF THEY WERE COLLECTABLE. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE COLLECTABLE, I'M NOT REALLY A EXPERT, SO ALL ITEMS WILL BE SOLD AS DECORATION ONLY, I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE ANYONE DISAPPOINTED."

I concur with Dogstar. My sis bought several (Bob Seger, I think) last fall from this ebayer and they were definitely reprints. She didn't mind ... just thought they looked cool and didn't expect much for that amount of money.
If I had the space for them I'd get a couple of the Buffett or Buffet ones. Great look for a little $$.

We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.
I have seen stores that sell copies of old concert posters. A couple that come to mind are along Main Street in Hyannis, MA on the Cape. My guess is that you got a reprint that was put into a frame and then yellowed over time, not an actual original from the concert.
