I don't care if he ends up with a cue-card guy to remind him we're parrotheads, I'll be happy to "gaze upon his taxidermic smile!"
Re: the behind-the-stage seats, we were a few rows back beside the stage in Charlotte on Valentine's Day 1998. My hubby read the set list and we ran down to the front row @ intermission, he held me over the ledge and I got a high 5 as Bubba ran by. So, yeah, sometimes buying tix @ the last minute is a good thing!

We sat four rows behind the stage too! I thought they were great seatsSchoolGirlHeart wrote:which can be a very cool place to sit!![]()
one time I chose 4th row behind the stage rather than nosebleeds, when I went to a show on late notice. it was *great*!!
The Little Feat keyboardist for "Dixie Chicken" was an added bonus

YEEP.
He was using a teleprompter WHEN he was saying he wasn't using them. So what?
My friend played with Jimmy onstage in 1995, and he said he was using it then.

Re: YEEP.
Given the techie guy that he is, Jimmy's probably been using one since they first came out....Bwana Paul wrote:He was using a teleprompter WHEN he was saying he wasn't using them. So what?

Never knew that. A statement like that is misleading at best. He should have been upfront about it.Bwana Paul wrote:He was using a teleprompter WHEN he was saying he wasn't using them. So what?

If you watch the song/video of JB & Mac doing City of New Orleans, you'll notice him frequently looking down. Since I know he dosent wear shoes its probably a safe bet that wasnt looking down too see if his shoes were tied.
My guess is that he had a LARGE PRINT copy of the words to the song. Or maybe is was a stealth teleprompter?
Point is, whats it matter if he's using a teleprompter? Or maybe, god forbid, he's wearing contacts too so he can actually see the words?

Steven Tyler said he has to use one because of what he sees in the crowd and with the huge back catalog of songs to remember with breasts floating around in your face at the same time and so on.
But the strangest thing is...Mick Jagger doesn't use one.
Everybody's different. I kind of like it when JB screws up the lyrics. He's got so many songs to sing...screw ups are, har har, 'keepin' it real!'

I have exactly three letters (words) regarding the whole teleprompter thing.
Imagine them in a good Mississipppi accent...
B...F...D...

YEEP.
He's sixty years old. He did a lot of partying in his youth.
So he uses a teleprompter.
At least he's not lip synching.
So he uses a teleprompter.
