I have no problem with him using a teleprompter but I do have a problem with him lying about it, especially if he really has been using one since 1995. Why not just go ahead and be upfront about it?

You sure it had the lyrics and didn't just have the set list. I know a lot of artists use a screen to show the set list.

After sitting behind the stage at Mohegan Sun last year, it is clearly a Teleprompter.

Ill add another BFD into the opinion of use or not to use.

But I know the words by heart. No teleprompter for me! The day I need a teleprompter is the day I stop trying to get on stage and sing with Jimmy.

So Jimmy said he'd never use a teleprompter and now he does. Big deal. When I was young I said I'd never date ugly women. Now that I'm old I take what I can get.

No. Apparently he's been using a teleprompter since 1995 and has said he'd retire before he'd ever use one. Rather than lying about it why not go ahead and be honest about using one? I have no problem with him using one, it's the dishonesty that's so unbecoming. And if it's true that he has been using one, what's with all the flubbed lines?

He wasn't using one in Aspen. I'm sure a few of us would have seen it, being as close as we were.

If he needs it some of the time, that's fine by me. Just so long as he doesn't stop touring any time soon.

I think "Everybody's On the Phone" is lyrically tough.

He used one in Tallahassee, but that didn't change the show for me at all. It was an awesome show. So what if he uses one and so what if he doesn't come out and say it. I go to see his show for the music, not for his political views (thank god he doesn't share those, b/c we don't always agree  ) or what he reads. Some people worry way too much about the actions of others when it really isn't any of there business.

I had a good view of the stage from my seats, and JB did not seem to be reading the teleprompter too much in Tallahassee....but again the (several) Land Sharks might have had something to do with that.

That's fine but he's made such a big deal about it over the years by saying he'd retire before he ever used a teleprompter.

Once again why does it matter? He has how many songs? Does it change the show for you if he uses one? Like I said it didn't for me, nor do I think it did for the over 12K people at the TLCCC. If it is such a problem, why continue to go to the shows? That would just mean more tickets for the people who go for the music and the party rather than whether or not he used a teleprompter.

Yeah, so again, who really cares?

Has anyone ever posted what Jimmy actually saw on the teleprompter? Could it could be nothing? Now THAT may just explain the flubbed lines!
