Has Jimmy recorded his cover of Barefootn' anywhere other than on the "Hoot" soundtrack?
One of the members of our barefootn' group (
www.barefooters.org) said they heard a live version.
I think they were just confused. Even if it was bootleg, he never performed it in concert, did he?
Nobody in our barefootn' discussion group can find it.

That's what I thought.
I think the Society for Barefoot Living Member must have dreamed it, or maybe was just wishing that it had more popularity than just the movie and soundtrack.
We have fought hard over the years to promote barefoot acceptance, even to the courts, and sometimes our members get carried away.

You mean the shows this weekend? No, I listened on Sirius here in MI. We won't leave for FL til Thursday.
They played it there during a surf video? If they did that in the past as well, maybe our member DID indeed hear a bootleg live version. I guess I should have given her more credit!

Gotta find the name of that song.
During intermission for the Tallahassee show, they showed a video of Jimmy's surfing.
There may be something about "ropin in" and "I've got a feeling" but it also sounds like they sing the word FINS a lot.
It has such a familiar "sound" to it, but is nothing like the other surf songs.
Googled song lyrics with FINS in it and came up with NADA.

Well, that's definatly not "Barefootn'".
So aside from the new song to be released Tuesday, there's another "mystery" song?
The one I was asking about is a live version of his cover of Barefootn', and they didn't know if Alan Jackson was singing in it or not.
I still think it doesn't exist anywhere but in the mind of a wishful thinking barefooter.

Oh, now I get it. You wer'nt talking about the song in this thread, just asking about the one you heard because of my name.
Been long snowboarding this month, long skateboarding last month, but will hit Cocoa Beach with my 9' on Friday. Can't wait!
