Jake on Last Call 2/15 at 1:30 AM

Post by Pleasin & Teasin »

Just a reminder for those who may have forgotten, that Jake will make his second nationwide TV appearance early Thurs morning, Feb 15 (later this week) at 1:30 AM, following Conan.

His appearance on Conan awhile back was his first, and he was just sensational!! This one will undoubtedly be worth staying up for!!!

Just checked my Outlook calendar for tomorrow. Jake's there, but thanks for the reminder about my reminder

So the site says" Jake Shimabukuro on Last Call with Carson Daly, February 15, 2007, 1:35am (EST) Right after Late Night with Conan O’Brien" does that mean that it's the show that's on tonight? Or tomorrow? Maybe that's where two-nights/confusion is coming from?

and tomorrow's show lists Fall Out Boy, another band. Would they have two music guests on one night?

Does the show have a band? Might Jake sit in with them? Sounds like I'll need to record the show both nights and find out that way.

OK, here's the link to the shows music schedule for this week: http://www.nbc.com/Last_Call_with_Carso ... usic.shtml
I don't see no Jake!! :x

One more thing (I keep editing this, and basically talking to myself :o )

Read this on Jake's site, "Jake will appear on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly on February 15, 2007 as a special musical guest performing with the show’s band." so he's sitting in with the band, not being the music guest.

That's enough of a reason not to watch it. How does that geek have a career in show business?

It was from a mailing list from Jake's management team-here it is:

Jake Shimabukuro on Last Call with Carson Daly

Last Call with Carson Daly

Thursday, February 15th and Friday the 16th
1:35am (EST) Right after Late Night with Conan O'Brien

Jake will appear on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly on February 15th and 16th as a special musical guest performing with the show's band. Please check your local listings to see when Last Call with Carson Daly airs in your area

This will be Jake's second national TV appearance on NBC. In December 2005, Jake appeared on the Late Show with Conan O'Brien.

About Carson Daly and "Last Call"

Former host and executive producer of MTV's "Total Request Live" (TRL), Carson Daly transformed an afternoon music video program into a must-stop on the publicity circuit for musicians, movie stars and entertainers alike.

Since day one, "Last Call" has been the show that gives many of the hottest bands their first break on network television or on U.S. television. These bands include Panic! At the Disco, The Killers, Maroon 5, Jack Johnson and Gavin DeGraw, among many others - and now Jake!

While the show boasts diverse bookings in the worlds of entertainment, politics and sports, it is the progressive music bookings that have earned Daly his bragging rights amongst the late-night crowd.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Haven't watched it yet (other than rewinding the tape) but he was on the show last night.

yes he was.....was introduced as being with the band..."the Jimmy Hendricks of the ukelele..". Once or twice you saw shots of him playing with the band. What was the most frustrating was that he mostly played with the band during commercials...when we couldnt watch....!!!!! apparently he did so with some success--when returning from one commercial break, the audience was cheering and Carson Daly looked very impressed and exclaimed that they had been rocking out during the break, and murmured something about have to have Jake on more....

That's it. Not exactly worth two nites of waiting....but maybe it was like an audition, and now he'll be on as a musical act on his own. Whatever helps his career, i guess.....

GO, JAKE!!!

I wonder if he won't be on tonight as well, and the date thing was just messed up.

Didn't expect that there would be much of him, but it is still a great opportunity for him.
