There are just some commercials that when they come on, I race for the remote and mute it as fast as I can.
Can you tune out the sound, or do you reach for the remote??

Say what?
If it's me watching TV, I just tune them out. I can tune anything out.
Hubby is a perpetual channel-changer. As soon as a commercial comes on, he's flipping through them like a madman.

I've got a great button called Semi-mute, that fades down the volume to half

Good one, Topless!
There are only one or two that I just can't HANDLE. There's one for one of those Hardee's Super Chili Mansized Death Burgers, where the guy is basically making lot of noise while eating it, to demonstrate how "delicious" it is. It was amusing the first time, but now it's just REALLY BAD MANNERS and WE CAN'T HAVE THAT!!

If hubby has the remote, I'll yell "No! Stop! Make it go away!"
There are also ones that come along from time to time that show children shoveling cereal or other food into their mouths, instead of holding the fork/spoon (or even spork!
![battingeyes [smilie=battingeyes.gif]](./images/smilies/battingeyes.gif)
) correctly. Can't take that.
Notice a pattern here???

I usually can tune them out. Seems like the commercials, though, are so much louder than the regular show, I'll turn the volume down or change the channel if I've got the remote handy...

There's really just one that gets through.
I'm able to tune pretty much anything out, but this ONE commercial is so DamB annoying that it has gotten under my skin and every time it comes on I "hear" it.

I'm a surfer, so I'm usually moving around the 'dial' when the commercials come on. Plus I record so much TV (seems I'm busy on the nights the good shows are on) that I fast-forward through many of them.
If I'm watching something that I really don't want to miss even one-second of, then I'll turn down the volume. I've heard that commercials can't be any louder than the loudest portion of any show. The shows fluctuate so much, but the commercials are full blast for the entire 30-seconds.

about the only TV I watch is sporting events.
I absolutely detest what I call 'gratuitous sideline girls' during football broadcasts. The ones who are on the sidelines with a microphone and no clue. I mute them as soon as the camera shows them.

That's why I always record '24'....the playback without the commercials makes it so GOOD and TENSE !!!
