Ok here are some of my thoughts.

1)we need corp sponsorship- who has the card for the Hooters manager? He wanted to help this year. Even though he is in Plano he will be able to sell that idea to a location down here (oh say if we offer him a free tailgate and a plane tix if he makes it happen)

2) I think Corona would go for it since they are not on the tour this year and how much exposure they will get at our location.

3) Will Mr. Play and East Texas PH accept being our MAyor and Queen again this year.

4) DO we dare call this Hoot II

5) a pool/spa company sponsor in exchange for sand, 2 hot tubs and a 15' pool.

6) an other sponsors we need? who?

7)We will need to find a way to hang the tire swing

8) Can someone draw up legally binding contracts as needed?

What else?

PHritz -

1) ETP should have the contact info for the Hooters guy. It seems like he was a regional manager so Houston may be in his territory. It's worth a call to see if he can hook is up.

2) We have at least one Corona distributor on the boards. I'll send him a PM to see if there's any chance of getting hooked up with that. If not no biggie, we can do beer for $500 or so.

3) This isn't Dallas, so I think ETP and I should pass the torch to you and txaggirl for this one. I'll be happy to help with the business decisions and manage the finances like last year.

4) Hoot Island is a place and I think the name should stay with the venue. We need a new name for this one. I named Hoot Island, so you should get a shot at this one.

5) I'll talk to Pat about comping a hot tub or two. He didn't want to do it last year, but now we're talking his home turf. I can't remember if he does pools or not.

6) ETP should still have a contact with M'ville tequila. Once the date is firm I'll talk to the margarita machine guys. Does abqkeet still DJ and do they have a location in Houston?

7) You can probably make a swing set frame with some basic lumber pretty cheap.

8 ) We have some lawyers on the boards but I don't know of any in Texas. Anybody?

Other thoughts - We should get a singer or a band for live music. Do we want to talk to one of our resident musicians or look at getting Larry Joe Taylor or somebody? It seems like ETP had a Buffett cover artist in mind from a while ago.
