Pick a location and evening to meet (preferably two weeks out) and put a little notice in the "community calendar" section of the newspaper with your phone number for more information. If you start it, they will come.
I've thought about doing it here myself, but I don't have the time to organize it.

The Key West Band who has Doyle Grisham playing on their new album
is also based out of Roanoke. There are a number of Parrotheads in
Roanoke actually.

I am all for a get together in Roanoke or surrounding areas. We definitely have enough folks with in a couple hours of here to have a big old party.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
