Can Sirius tell accuratly how many listeners are tuned in to each channel?
Do they have the stats to show how JD has been doing as far as increasing listenership?
Can Margaritaville tell if broadcasting live from the Parrot cage has boosted their afternoon business?
Those are the numbers that count, not us BNers opinions.

I know JD tries really hard. But, I think they could use someone with a little more character. He tries to have character, but that is something you either have or don't. I love the idea of broadcasting from the Parrot Cage at Margaritaville Orlando, but they need to start looking for someone else. I hate to say that, cause JD sounds like a great guy, just not a radio DJ.

Maybe they (RadioMargaritaville) are paying attention? J.D. doesn't sound like he is in a bucket today. Great! Now maybe I won't have to switch channels everyday at lunch time!

I'll still say I enjoy the song selections during his time on air. Good mix.

Whatever happened to the Jamaican guy? I don't listen that often so maybe he's still on and I just don't tune in at the right time.

Wouldn't the Program Director (Steve) be responsible for most of the music selections? Other than occassional requests from email listeners or restaurant patrons.

Not sure if I know who the Jamaican guy is (or was). [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

Yeah, probably so, Chip!

LIPH must be talking about Native Wayne. He was only on for a short time during the live concert broadcasts. He was "different."

Seems Savannah has taken over that one particular job now and usually Miles Hampton does the pre-pre show.

Just gotta ride with the tide and go with the flow. I'm glad we have a long, live show broadcast from Margaritaville. I'm sure J. D. will read up on and learn more and more facts.

Surprised to hear Sunshine Smith say that was her first radio interview. She did a great job. I thought we heard her before on RM during the Anniversary Show at Margaritaville Key West.

JD needs lessons

Post by Captain Kid »

I have been giving him time, but I have decide I can't stand him. I listen every day at work and he is driving me crazy. They need to sit him down and make him listen to hours of tape of Steve, Miles and Carson. They all have great on air personalities, sound professional and know their stuff. I noticed, he is not listed on RM's website under meet the staff. I don't want to say anyone should be fired, but he needs major improvement.

Let me cast my vote for "not glad" we have a LONG, live show! I have always enjoyed the "Happy Hour" from New Orleans...One hour, once per week and they always have something different and interesting to talk about.

I really don't need or enjoy a LONG, live broadcast that spends way too much time harping about Universal City Walk, Orlando, etc. Doesn't sound too "commercial free" to me!

That said, I did enjoy the interview with Sunshine!
