That's assuming you use 140 to Foxboro. The only thing is 140 is local roads and you need to look out for the sign because the road changes.MacPhin wrote:booked a room for both the 2nd and the 8th at extended stay in norton for 84.99/nt. it's only 9 miles from foxboro.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!

Advice on Foxboro. The locals are very strict about what roads you can use on days of Pats games. Basically, plan on using Route 1 from either 495 (closest) or 95 in Norwood/ Dedham. People try to avoid traffic by cutting through side roads. Don't try, it won't be worth it.aeroparrot wrote:That's assuming you use 140 to Foxboro. I'm sure scalpers read the site and when the password was posted jumped at it!!...we need another way to post passwords....set up through e-mails or something....this won't prevent all scalpers ..but could cut it down a little!!ScarletB wrote:HOORAY for the little guy!!!! There are really no way to stop it. Scalping in mass market quantities should be illegal. Sure, I will swing by Fenway Park some nights and try to grab a bleacher seat from some kid looking to make a buck. But guys on the internet who advertise on tv and on buses and billboards who make 3,000 or more for a single ticket - no f'n way.TommyBahama wrote:I'm sure scalpers read the site and when the password was posted jumped at it!!...we need another way to post passwords....set up through e-mails or something....this won't prevent all scalpers ..but could cut it down a little!!ScarletB wrote:HOORAY for the little guy!!!! The ONLY way for this to end is if people stop paying. Just stop. Don't support it.

Exactly. Last June, I walked over to Fenway from Blanchard Street and there was this guy who was selling one of his tickets for half the price it would have been. I grabbed it and saw Ortiz hit the game winning home run that day.drunkpirate66 wrote:There are really no way to stop it. Scalping in mass market quantities should be illegal. A friend of mine at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood told me this morning that people have been calling quite a bit for Labor Day weekend. He laughed because they are usually empty with everyone down on the Cape and the islands . . . they are thinking about doing some Buffett theme at their bar the night before the show but he said it is just talk.aeroparrot wrote:That's why I was suggesting the hotels along Route 1 so you could avoid this.drunkpirate66 wrote:Advice on Foxboro. Forgot about this hotel. I will add it to the one down in Gatherings. But that's cool.drunkpirate66 wrote:A friend of mine at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood told me this morning that people have been calling quite a bit for Labor Day weekend. as far as the parking lots go - they will open when people get there. They said the same thing a couple years back when the Pats had an 8:00 sunday night ESPN game. It was like 2 degrees outside with this painfully consistent sleet and people showed up at like 11AM. I know that is later then most show up at Great Woods but the point is the lots will all be full by 3:30. Show up early.

Tickets are good
Just checked Ticketmaster and it now noted that my tickets have been printed and mailed out. Checked Amex and the cost went through. It's good!
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - beer in hand - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"
