Yea, Last year was the first year for them. There are 12 of them and they terrace up the right hand side of the lawn (facing the stage). They hold 50 people with plenty of room and have private porta-potty and private bar. The only way to go! No waiting in line or fighting the crowd.

damn hotel rooms are going quick...I'm always on the spot and in chicago there are many rooms sold out...i've been at the HI select for 4 years running and now I'll be elsewhere, but thats okay...Apline rooms are going quick too, but not as fast...this coming in the paper over mvll.com has made a huge difference in the chicago market for rooms...I'm more worried about alpine and I have rooms in Elkhorn 10 minutes away!

Figures the first 2 midwest shows announced would be late July.....when my pregnant daughter is due. Won't be able to tear the wife away from the great state of Michigan. And I'll be on the sh*t list if I boogie out of town solo. But that wouldn't be a first. Maybe I'll have to get with Doctor's and coordinate this birth thing!!

MN hulagirl-

All but 2 of the tickets are for sale. Most of them will be purchased by my friends from the area. I am trying to sell all 50 of them as part of our bus trip, so unless you want to drive to Central Il I don't think I can help you. If for some reason I don't sell them all I can let you know. I think the decks are going to be all but impossible to get this year. I just stumbled upon it last year. Because I had one last year I was at the top of the list for this year. Last I heard there were 30 people on the waiting list and there are only 12 decks.

Somehow got two rooms on ORBITZ this morning at the Holiday Inn. Would have thought they would be gone by now. Now the impossibility begins of trying to get enough tickets. I'm sure I'll be E-Baying again this year.

Alpine and Tinley back to back weekends. Mrs. Yuppie is gonna be mad!

Were they expensive? I saw some rooms out there but they were over $250 a night...regardless, its a great spot for the show and they really are quite liberal about what they allow in their lots the eniter buffett weekend!

I wonder if it will be harder or easier to get tickets for Chicago with Alpine going on sale at the same time. And what about those people who like to attend both venues? How do they choose which tickets to try to get first?

If I remember correctly, East Troy and Tinley went sale at the same exact time.

They both went on sale on the same date last year as well, I think the tough part is how close the dates are. I think it could actually help odds of getting tickets at alpine. I know many people like myself that would normally do both shows when they're is a month or two between them. I'm sure there will be a fair amount of people going to both, but hopefully more people will try for chicago first...who knows...

If he doesn't announce a thursday show in Tinley saturday night's chicago tickets will go fast, not as fast as alpine simply becuase chicago is bigger...regardless of all the above, tickets will be tough to score, for those wanting both, they'll have to team up or get a lot of computers going at once...

If you go back a few years, Jimmy would put a Thursday Tinley show on sale, let it sell out, and then, put both Alpine and Tinley-Saturday on sale at the same time. And they used to typically be a week apart like this, with Jimmy playing Cincy or Indy on the Tuesday in between.

They haven't in the past, presales are usually in places that have season ticket holders, like football or baseball staduims. Unless you want to buy box for buffett, chances are that all seats will go onsale at the same time a week from today.

LOL I turned 40 at buffet last year at Alpine.. My b-day was June 11 so it was really after the show at midnight but hey...

What’s even funnier is the first time I saw Buffet was on my birthday, I went with a girl who’s birthday was June 11 also..
