I think the safety-comfort level in ALSIP is good.

If it's the one on 127th St, that works good with Cicero and/or Harlem to get to and from the venue. No driving on 294!

Heading up from NC for the weekend. Scored a pair of tix in the pavillion and look forward to meeting the Chicago BNers.

My wife has never been to Chicago, so I'd like to stay downtown. What is the availability of public transportation or party buses to Tinley Park?

There's no public transport from downtown to the venue in Tinley Park. If I recall correctly, the local club had a bus from the Tinley Park Holiday Inn to the venue last year. You really need a car if you're going to stay downtown (and parking there isn't cheap). You could hire a car, I guess. Others could give you more info re. the closest train lines...but that's still not walking distance to the venue.

Yeah Q&S you are right! Taxi cabs might work... never done that, but that's about the ONLY public option!

For those of you that got shutout for Chicago yesterday, as of 6:28am there are both lawn and pavilion available through TM. The pavilions are next to each other in Section 203 towards the back. I already have mine, but thought inquiring minds would want to know.

Now if only Alpine would free up some since I got shutout for that.
