Yesterday was amazing. It was so fun meeting everyone and putting faces to screennames. Thanks for making me feel welcome. I definitely enjoyed tailgating this year even more than I did last year.

The show was, of course, great. Whoever said Jimmy was smiley and bubbly was right on. He looked so happy and like he was genuinely enjoying what he was doing.

My parents are now oPHicially hooked. They're already talking about who to bring along with us next year!

Brandon lost his shoes sometime during the concert and walked around the gravel parking lots the rest of the night with a tshirt wrapped around 1 foot and a bunch of plastic lei's aroudn the other as makeshift footware.

We're leaving the hotel in a few minutes and trekking to breakfest, then to Kentucky to prepare for the Indy show on Tuesday.

That is all... :P :P :P
Glad you survived Kev!

Did you get pictures of Brandon's NEW footware?!? :o :o
lol, yes I took several pictures!!!! I just forgot to bring the cable to download from my camera on this trip. I'll upload some picts when I get home to MI next weekend. I made it to Lexington last night. We left Chicago at around 1pm...but then oddly enough got sidetracked drinking at the CiP in Indy en route down here. I work today and tomorrow morning before we leave to head back to Indy! 8)

Chicago: the thread that will not die!

Love you all! My brother was seriously impressed with the craziness level in thr parking lot. And Jimmy and the Reefers and especially Mac.

I had a phone message from Longboardin Al, already in Oshkosh... no internet for 9 more days and wants to be kept in the loop,,,,,,,,,,

For having no intention of going to this show, I sure had an unexpected good time! :D

Just thought I'd go say hello to everyone at the Holiday Inn... next thing I know, my kids are asking for me to find tickets to see Jimmy! :o :D

Many thanks to everyone who made that happen... Lisa34, Harbor Baby, and TommyBahama for scoring us tickets. And thanks as well to BufitonmyBMW and her super friendly group for the food, drinks, and chairs in the lot, along with the primo real estate at the front of the lawn.

Y'all took good care of me and my girls, making their first Buffett concert an enjoyable one! They saw first hand the truly generous and friendly spirit of parrotheads, and marvelled at the sea of happy people! They did poop out a bit toward the end of the long day, but they never whined or complained, which is a good thing.

It was great to see familiar friends, and great to meet new ones! Just sorry about those I missed.

It was a good day! :D
