TOGA TOGA TOGA!!!!!

Can't wait, by this time tomorrow, I will be on my way to Alpine.

If anyone is gonna be at Alpine friday, look for the 7ft. organe shark on the top of a golf cart in the late afternoon.

Hey Alpiners! Not long now---spending the day getting everything packed up and ready to go to WI tomorrow morning. Will be pre-partying in Beloit as training for Saturday's tailgate. Here's hoping for good weather and a great time for everyone.

Safe travels and have a great time!

???? If you were staying at the resort, would you drive your car to the parking lot so you had your beer/supplies closer or is the resort close enough to the lots that a few trips carrrying a 12 pack wouldn't kill you? Thx

Won't kill you.... but if I remember (me remember... ha...) it is a fairly long stagger around the venue to the lot....

I've seen obstructed seats down close on the side where you can only see about 20% of the stage :(
That's what I'm afraid of.... :-?
But I would also say, it's not to hard to move around at Alpine

Captain Parrot Head wrote:Alright another parking lot question. Is there a charge for general parking? Do you need to purchase a couple of extra to set up your tailgate area? We will cram every one in to 2 vehicles plus a 12' trailer that is loaded with tailgate supplies. I am hoping we can get 2 extra spots for our stuff.
Thanks
If you have a trailer, you'd have to pay the $50 oversized fee

I'd stay at the resort, it is a little walk to the tailgating but it a good way to work off the beer. Also there are parties at the resort and it gives you a reason to go back and take part in them, then head back out to the tailgating....but that just me.

Unofficially, Parrotheads line up on Hwy D around noon, and the traffic gets so bad, they have no choice but to open up early. Usually no later than 1pm. Join the rush!

Wow---not long now. The Buffett tunes are blasting, the tailgate supplies are getting organized and the beer will be flowing soon. Beautiful day here in west central Illinois to get ready for the weekend.

1 day until the party starts...
2 days until the Alpine concert party starts!!!!

It is so damn exciting---the anticipation is great!

I haven't hung around here much this year.......but I have not forgotten about this blessed place!

After years and years of fretting over who's going to drive home, we are bringing our own busload down from the Fox Valley. I've never hung out in the bus area, so any advice would be appreciated!

If you are in the area, look for the gas blender makin' the "Bushwackers"!
