Who's Going to ALPINE VALLEY 07/28/07 (see p1)

This year our crew has decided to go the bus route instead of driving. I've always thought the tailgating in the car lots were better than the bus lots.. what have your experiences been? Prefer one over the other?

I've done both and I'd say I prefer the bus route.

I've also done both. Both are lots of fun. This year I'm driving up, but will probably hang out with the contingent from our P.H.C. going on the bus, unless there are other people I know tailgating on their own.

I've taken a bus once and it was fun. I guess it all depends on who you're with. We were unfamiliar with most of the folks on our bus. We met some nice people and had a lot of laughs.

The one thing I like about doing the bus thing is that you have a safe driver to take you home, and know the way to get home too since when you leave alpine they send you in the wrong direction that you came in

I prefer driving... I'm a control freak and like having the freedom of leaving when I want to and not having to wait around for everyone... blah blah blah....

but it's a fun party whether you're with all the cars or all the buses... and don't forget... it's a parking lot. you can always wander around like I do!

I definitely will! I made it over to all the VE busses last year! Tha twas quite a fun time... I vowed after last year to make it to Alpine every year!

I had ACL and miscus surgery a few weeks back still on crutches for a little bit more plus shoveling wouldn't be to wise anyway I gather

very true it is major payback with the wife for all those 10 below zero days she laughed as I was out doing the driveway at 4 in the morning so she could go to work. who is laughing now

btw still a bunch of single pavillions on live nation with the link from earlier in the thread.....some pretty close together.

Though we are still months away from the actual concert date, I am still soooooooooooooo excited!!!!!! Now that I've had tickets in hand since Monday, I've entered the I can hardly wait til the show phase. With the crazy weather, thinking about Alpine Valley allows me a bit of escapism.

Hey everyone,

I don't post on here alot but I read most everything. We are going to be having a big party in the bus lot again this year. It would be great if some or all of you could look us up and have a couple with us. I am bringing 54 people on a charter bus this year. We are already planning everything we are going to do at our tailgate. So far we are thinking... Wheel of fate, shot luge, etc... Anyway, I will keep everyone posted as plans get made, but I would like to invite all the BN'ers to come and have a drink with us.

was someone still thinking of a list I know it is a bit of work and I know I don't have the time or the patience to do it but it was kinda exciting to see how many bn'ers we gonna be at the show. Is there ever a phone list for the parking lot so people can locate eachother?
