Wikipedia lists seating capacity for The Big Sombrero at 74,301...that would have been without floor seats.
According to the database, Jimmy played at Mile High Stadium on June 16, 1985, as part of the
Last Mango tour. Capacity there was listed as 76,273....again I presume that was without seating on the field (floor).
I think Jake mentioned something like 120,000 at Jazzfest last year. He was talking about how he tried to keep his head down, because seeing the huge crowd was a bit nerving. Jazzfest, again, maybe doesn't fit into the exacts of the original question. Since it draws more people because it is a complete event. --as was the US Festival (believe it or not, they spelled his name wrong:
http://www.usfestivals.com/)
I looked through the
By Venue list and looked at plenty of seating capacity numbers. These are the biggest I found (many of the places I didn't find because they've since been imploded)
Foxboro - 60,292
Texas Stadium - 65,675
Mile High - 76,273

The first, "What is the largest crowd he has ever performed in front of. "
Second "What is is the largest crowd he has ever performed in front of with just Jimmy and the CRB?"
well the US thing....
and the Mountain Aire show
might have been pre CRB.

What I meant to type was Jimmy and/or the CRB.

I knew

that I just wanted to set the timeframe..

You have to remember that there are sections of stadiums that are blocked off when concerts are played at Stadiums (behind the stage and some of the upper decks), even though there is seating on the field.
Maybe the seats gained on the field make up for seats lost in the stands, but maybe not.
