Ok. For those who are coming early for (at least) the Labor Day show, I saw some people expressing interest at a Sox game that weekend since they will be home. If you are, please PM me ASAP. I don't know if tickets are still available for those games.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Figured as much since the Sox got two million tickets sold the days they went on sale. Oh well,,,, hmmmm So how about going to the Tiki Bar or Boston Beer Works instead? Only issue is the Boston Beer Works during games days is nearly impossible to get in until after the game starts.TommyBahama wrote:Tickets are long gone!!!!!..every game is sold out!!!...stub hub would be your best bet!!!...i'm a member of Red Sox Nation and they send e-mails for ticket offers and you can't get them!!!...the best and cheapest bet is scalp.....my brother does it all the time and never has a problem!!...and he knows the area like the back of his hand...he worked at Who'saeroparrot wrote:Ok. We could always try getting them from scalpers but after what I saw last year.... they are worse than those who scalp Buffett tickets.Left Field ParrotHead wrote:Too bad tix are sold out. If I were to choose it would either be the Purple Shamrock, the Bell in Hand, or the Black Rose.TommyBahama wrote:I'M heading to the Cape the 1st weekend.....and on the 7th thinking Boston to meet Finsupinfla!!!...Tikibar maybe BBW OK but not much of a beer drinker...all the great bars are down at Fanuil Hall..Missy K's Purple Sham Rock...Cheers...Salty Dog...Durgin Park...Dicks Last Resort...and a bunch or Irish bars on Union St!aeroparrot wrote:Figured as much since the Sox got two million tickets sold the days they went on sale. You don't deal with the scalpers....go in front of the ticket office area....there are always people with extras...and they are usually free to them...so they dump them at face or below......i have to disagree with aero on that one......i think it's pretty easy getting tickets at Fenway..Unless it's the Yankees!!!...as for stubhub...check as the game gets closer...ticket prices drop !!!!!...i've done that with Buffett Tickets a few years back when it was harder to get tickets....got great seats well below cost!!aeroparrot wrote:We could always try getting them from scalpers but after what I saw last year.... they are worse than those who scalp Buffett tickets.Left Field ParrotHead wrote:Too bad tix are sold out. I know that there may be extras at the gate itself. I think the Sox releases more seats around 2 hours before game time but need to get there an hour extra from there.TommyBahama wrote:You don't deal with the scalpers....go in front of the ticket office area....there are always people with extras...and they are usually free to them...so they dump them at face or below......i have to disagree with aero on that one......i think it's pretty easy getting tickets at Fenway..Unless it's the Yankees!!!...as for stubhub...check as the game gets closer...ticket prices drop !!!!!...i've done that with Buffett Tickets a few years back when it was harder to get tickets....got great seats well below cost!!aeroparrot wrote:We could always try getting them from scalpers but after what I saw last year.... they are worse than those who scalp Buffett tickets.Left Field ParrotHead wrote:Too bad tix are sold out. We booked our hotel for the show, Sheraton in Milford. 20 Minutes from The End Zone.
The Endzone is exactly one mile from Gillette Stadium

Black Rose is tourist trap, in my opinion, and you will drop way to much money for beers. Same with The Bell - who cares if it old (it IS where the town crier announced the signing of the Declaration of Independence for you history buffs - thus the "Bell" in hand). . . Shamrock is allright - cute girls anyways and they get decent bands from time to time.
Also you all can do Oyster Shooters at the Union Oyster House - another tourist trap but damn good Wellfleet oysters in September!
