If Jimmy's on;y going to do one date in town I'll take the stadium in order to make it more likely to get in to see him withou spending big bucks to the scalpers.
All the same....just imagine the parking situation if there were simultaneous concerts at the Linc and CBP. Can you say 100,000 tailgaters? I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go and be a part of it, but its hard to imagine that anyone's going to allow that to happen .
First off Welcome. I dont know if im to much of a newbie to welcome you here but hey. Anyway if thats the case id rather see two shows at Camden that way maybe more have a shot at seeing him. Im just hoping for a Saturday show. Nothing like Jimmy on a weekend. Hell what am I saying. Nothing like Jimmy on a Tuesday or Thursday too.
Thanks Backstreets! Oh yeah, best case (IMHO) would be multiple Camden shows. If only Jimmy would do it....its been a long time since he's played more than one show at Camden. Here's hoping!!!!

I can't wait either. This is just a guess, but I would have to belief that out of respect to the fans and to other, um, acts that are playing in the area that Jimmy might not play the 23rd of June. I am guessing around the 23rd.

Hotels, public transportation - traffic, flights; if both Jimmy and, um, other acts are playing within 8 miles of each other on the same night it would be really busy and sort of a hassle - and more expensive.
I was kinda thinking that too. But maybe they are figuring that the way we party well be there before and after the other acts. But who knows
Oh, and as a former fire fighter I forgot to add that with 100,000 (roughly)partiers in the area the logistics with police and fire and emt's would be crazy - I wonder if there is a law that says first come first serve with big venues. Perhaps Jimmy doesn't have a choice.

Explain it to me

I don't understand. Not considering the possible June 23rd date. Citizens Bank Park is available, and the Linc is available on other dates. Why would he pick a smaller venue and only do one show in this area, when he could do 2 shows at one of the larger venues and sell them both out? Atleast do 2 shows at the Tweeter. Doesn't he love us anymore [smilie=q-mark.gif]

Well if it had to be between the Linc and Citizens and Camden was not in play. Im hoping its Citizens. I saw Springsteen open the Linc and I think and its just my opinion) that the sound was better at Citizens.

i dont think there is enough parking fo r both to be at the same day. That would be crazy!!!And then ending at the same time!! The 21st @CB is open  or the Sat june 9th :D If not CB then we def need 2 show @ tweeter.

I dont know if you were at CB the first time around but I remeber there being like 3 or 4 lots they needed around the stadium for tailgating.

as much as id like to see jimmy at citizens bank or the linc, isnt it better if its at tweeter if you with a large group so you can all get lawn seats? i think watching a jimmy concert is so much better with all your friends rather than just sitting with one person, and having to stay at your seat.. what they need to do is have a general admission area at the back of the field at the linc or citizens bank.. its just too much hassle to try and get 10 seats or so all together, plus if someone wants to go at the last minute you can always buy a lawn ticket and they can sit with you..

I was there!!!!!! but nothing was happening at the Linc at the same time. We parked kinda infront of the Linc at that parking lot. It wasnt full, we had plenty of space to tailgate... liked that...lots of available bathrooms. Thats kinda key for us girls. lol

That true about the Tweeter. Both have pro's n con's. Either or as long as I get Tix this time [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

I'm getting very impatient too. and less productive, as i keep clicking over to see when the dates will be. i checked the citizens schedule and there are many long weeks where the phillies are on the road.

I do agree, the lawn is nice with friends. I just really dislike the Tweeter Center, I feel it has really deteriorated over the years. Bring back the Mann Music Center !!!

YES !!! The Mann was the BEST place of all to see Jimmy. And who doesn't love tailgating in Fairmount Park? Its been forever since Jimmy's played there, though. Not sure why...is it too small compared to Tweeter?

I may be dating myself here, but the best place I ever saw Jimmy was the Tower Theater in Upper Darby. I did enjoy The Mann (or the Dell as it was called back in the day) but the Tower was my favorite show. :wench:

Today's the day...
