Your own version of Bama Breeze
Inspired by PhutureMD's post of your One Particular Harbour... what watering hole do you go to that is similar to that being sung in the song Bama Breeze...
I used to frequent a place called the Barking Crab here in Boston (on Sleeper Street, Northern Ave, and Seaport Blvd block). The place is a dive and not the best quality of food --- but I didn't go there to eat (I can't eat seafood anyway) but I went there for drinks.
Now I try to go to Tia's on the Waterfront on Atlantic Ave. Don't go there very often because during the summers forget about getting a seat outside.
Since I found Alabama Jacks (with some help) down in the Keys, I think that may be my new spot when in the Keys.
When I was in Portsmouth, NH, it was Poco's -- pretty good food and during the summer, nice views of the river.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

The Seaside..
Folly Beach, SC...
Old bar, right on the Ocean....but Hugo took it away in 1989..
It was teeny tiny inside and only people who didn't know the place or anyone in there sat inside....HUGE deck outside, right on the water..
There were some of the regulars, who we called the "Hula Hoopers' as they swayed like they were doing the hula hoop by noon...
Then there was Doris...who was so proud of her new Cadillac she drove it out on the concrete below the deck to show us...and was so drunk, she drove it right off, into the Ocean...
Had nothing but Beach Music on the jukebox...
Also...
The Oldside, on Isle of Palms....now that is where I grew up...listening to The Tams, The Coasters, and so many great Beach Music bands.....and yes, on fake id's .....It used to be the Seaside...then they built a new one and it became the Oldside...That is the place of my late teen years and is still there today....went there a few years ago when I was visiting Charleston again....it hasn't changed.
I think The Oldside would have to be the one....but both have great memories....

There used to be a bar here in town...."Ray's Club".....it was a dive bar, but everyone knew each other......almost the same crowd every night...almost assigned seating, you knew where everyone would be...
It's where I met my husband!
Jar of pickled eggs on the bar, neon signs, jukebox with Patsy Cline, pool table that we never quite level....it was GREAT!
Sadly, they tore it down and built a TOYS R US, of all things!

This place is right on the Mississippi. Had a blast the one time I went there with a group of friends.

Not on the water (but about 500 yards from Lake Michigan) but Art's Tavern in Glen Arbor, MI is one of my favorite laid back bars> Awesome burgers.
My other favorite, true dive bar is the Forks Bar somewhere near Peter's Creek in the Alaskan bush. Truly in the middle of nowhere but one of the finest spots on Earth to enjoy an Alaskan Amber. One of the great road accessible places (if you have AWD) in AK where you wont bump into hundreds of cruise ship people on a land leg.
Otherwise, our Rosebud Tavern here in Grand Haven is a pretty good place. Sierra Nevada on tap and some pretty decent bands on Saturdays.

I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.
