Other shows don't even compare

by trying to reason
first off I am kinda new to posting here, been using bn for about 3 years for ticket and concert info . I discovered this site shortly after i found a copy of the yellow album.I was 17 then Now I own every album and book, started reading authors jimmy mentions and even started collecting vinyl. last year I saw my first concert in cinncy then my second in vegas, and now I cant get enough. not bad for a 19 year old kid. Anyway getting to the point(sorry for the long intro) being winter and the snow a foot and a half deep here in Cleveland I decided to pick up some George Strait tix I do like his music and other country artists. I get to the show and discover what an opening act is( never seen anybody other then jimmy)Taylor Swift and Ronnie Milsap open both were ok when it came to the music but there stage presence was non existent. I was more shocked in the way the fans acted they were talking, texting on there cell arguing about stupid stuff and not even trying to enjoy the music This behavior continued on into George Straits set. Any way strait sounded really good but he is not much of a showman

My whole point is even though I only have 2 shows under my belt I now truly appreciate what jimmy does on stage and the atmosphere that is created by the parrot heads out in the parking lots long before the show and during. Some people wait months and plan there lives around the shows and I do not think too many are disappointed I really hope as do most that jimmy continue to tour, because he sounds really great and puts on such a great show

Glad to hear you are enjoying the live performances so much. I'm origianlly from Cleveland as well, so I know how Jimmy helps you through the cold winters. Nothings better then that first warm day of the year, when everyone throws on their shorts, whip up a few margaritas, and throw on some Jimmy. Unfortunately the weather goes back to freezing days later, but that day alone gives hope for the summer.

I grew sick of the cold, and moved to Newport Beach, CA. Every day is a margarita day now....heading to Dukes later today! Dukes on Sunday....

I just saw the Milsap/Strait show the other night. It was FANTASTIC-- Missed the whole Taylor Swift set because I went to this new venue and they have no parking at all--- had to take a shuttle and well missed her whole set.

George is one of the greats, and I hate to say it But I thought his show was Better then any show Jimmy has done in the last couple years.

Welcome. If I can't go to the show I listem to Jimmy om RM. It's not the same but it does fill the void. Isn't Kenny Chesney okay? 60 Minutes did an interview with him. He looks like he has a good time on stage.

Yep, Huntington Beach Dukes. No mai tai, but had a few Fire Rock Ales, and some killer hawaiin fish (opah). Delicious. Definitely plan on going back....
