I didn't realize that Van Halen did two Kinks songs. (Where Have All the Good Times Gone and You Really Got Me) I knew about the later.

I always liked the Halen covers. Diver Down was almost half covers and one of my favorites.
Then again, I'm a cover song fan. I'm still waiting for a metal band to get Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting correct. That song is made for some crunch.

They're far from a "metal" band but the Who do a pretty good version of this song that appeared on an Elton John tribute album a number of years ago.

The Kinks are/were a pretty amazing group. There is NOBODY like Ray Davies.

The Kinks were a dynamite band. I really miss those guys.

Ray Davies had an album out last year that was pretty good.
