Doesn't it make you feel great delivering money or goods to these charities?? Every month we try to find someone else to deliver the goodies monthly, people are SOO appreciative it makes you want to do doublely good the next month.

I am so excited to be on the board this year for our club and be responsible for some of the goodness we donate!

Thank you all for doing such a great job!!

I'll also email Dirtracer49 some full sized shots to use in the slideshow DVD, which I believe should be out to the distributors in Monday's mail.
Thanks Bill! :D

Right on - I jokingly told Janelle we'd try to add a zero to the end next time we do a fundraiser for them. Then she told me they're developing a new website that will let you collect donations online and track them, and it got me thinking. I'm not sure if we'll support this or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society next time, but either way I'm thinking about requiring a $5 or $10 per person donation before the concert in addition to the party contributions. We could raise a hell of a lot of money that way...

Sort of, with most of the money going straight to the charity via the website before the tailgate. I'm sure some would donate more, but $5 or $10 would be the minimum per person.
I'm also thinking about raising the price for T-shirts next time. $12 is still pretty reasonable and that would have brought in another $270 this year.

While we're on the topic, what other ideas do you all have for raising even more money next time?

I sure there are LOTS of BNers that are crafty---like the koozies.
I didn't get in on those (and would have loved to), but I'm sure others have ideas.
All sales can go to the charity?

I like the wristband charge & the higher t-shirt price! And I would love to make coozies again. Anybody have any ideas or changes I need to make to them?

Hey, g/f. I've already placed an order for 25 for Christmas gifts! I have mine here at work and everyone LOVES them ... pink and lime green for me, if you please.

I like the wristband and tee shirt ideas ... anything that brings in the bucks!

Thanks for delivering the check, Bill. Janelle is an amazing woman ... so dedicated to this cause.

Technically, I'm not sure that you can require folks donate to charity. (not that I think anyone minds)
That being said, I think T-shirt prices may have been a tad low this year.

And as always, you can indicate that any money left over after expenses will be donated to charity.

charging for the wristbands and more for the Tshirts is a good idea.....Both would be well worth the price....in additon, providing the website and encouraging everyone to donate there as well

Raise the T-shirt price to $15!!! I purchased 2 -T-shirts and thought the price was cheap at $10....

Sure I can, it's a private party. $5 is a nominal amount and it would have generated at least $3,000 for Frisco. I haven't completely made up my mind just yet, but I'm leaning toward it at this point.

$15 would have meant a $1,000 donation from shirts instead of $300.
Would anyone NOT have bought a T-shirt if they were $15 instead of $10?

I would have bought the same amount of t-shirts. Who out there has the gall to biatch about a couple bucks more for a CHARITY? I am all for it.
